It will premiere in September with 13 episodes. In the special, it says that Velma and Daphne will be more "hip", and will carry around cell phones, and Velma will be good with computers.

make sure to go to tvtome and check out the episode guide for "What's New Scooby Doo?". I am the editor for it!

Cool, I always liked Velma...behind Scooby and Shaggy of course. Looking forward to hearing Mindy on the screen again...

Anyway, I don't know if I plan to see the movie because I heard there is a nude scene in there between Fred and Daphne. "Scooby Doo" is cool and I don't think the writers and directors should ruin its appeal to little kids by adding such a thing. It'll prevent thousands of kids from getting to see there favorite character...
If what I heard isn't true however, I'll be there cause I love Scooby Doo:D

I don't know when it will be airing...It hasn't been confirmed anywhere! And, to tell you all right now: Where in the heck are you getting all this crap about nudity and lesbians in Scooby Doo?! Do you really think that would be in ANY PG movie?! Obviously, you people are hearing CRAZY rumors that are ONLY rumors! This is on the PG sign for Scooby-Doo (the movie). PG Parent Guidance Suggested, Some material may not be suitable for children, some rude humor and language and some scary action. For 1. I think they'd tell if there were any nudity 2.If there were nudity, it would be bumped to PG-13! Oh my god, there are some REAL gullible people up in here. It actually makes me laugh. Check out the site. There, you can see the sign yourselves. And to some people (not saying screen names) need to get a clue!

Actually the nudity and lesbian scenes in the movie IS true. They were discussing it on my radio station just yeaterday. They said that scenes had been edited out for the movie in the theater's. However, those scene's WOULD be on the DVD when it is released. There are VERY strong sexual and drug related overtones in this movie. I HAD been thinking of taking my niece to see it, but I'm not too sure now. I will definately see it before hand and make my own decision then. But if it is as bad as I'm hearing, I will NOT be taking her to see it.

I also heard that they cut 2 different movies. One for the kids (that is being released in the theater) and one for adults (the one being released on DVD) It'll be interesting to find out if that is true or not. From the sounds of it, it is true.

I hadn't heard that about there being two different versions, AGS.

However, Notorios, I did hear from an incrediboly reliable source, ABC news I believe it was, that there WAS a nude scene orignally. I believe that source because they talked to the writer of the show during that interview and he commented on it.

I don't understand why two versions will have to be put out. Why can't they just make it innocent and fun for the family to enjoy instead of adding such things? I had heard the same thing, D, about a lot of 'hidden material' that wasn't suitable for young children, so I know I want be taking my little cousins to see it. In my opinion they ruined a pretty darn good cartoon...

i think the thing about shooting 2 movies is ridiculous also! i'm sure they didn't do that! it's a big waste. and, if there IS nudity in the damn movie, they'd warn. and, i think the thing about 2 versions and everything is another rumor. scooby-doo was and is a kid show, i highly doubt they'll make it into some big porn movie. and, i've told 1 person, i'll tell another! don't believe what you hear on the radio. unless, it was the producer or director, if not, it's all a bunch of smelly bull ****! i will keep debating this, because i knew there would be wild rumors, that if were true, people would be warned. and, from seeing the trailer, adults wouldn't wanna see it anywayz, even if there were woman on woman kissing and nudity. and, i know that Fred and Daphne get together in the movie, but i don't think they're gonna pause the WHOLE movie story, to show them in bed, or to show any of them naked! and, explanations for the rumors.

1.Daphne and Velma share a kiss: This was obviously made by someone who saw Cruel Intentions. I don't think this would fit into the movie, and it would be stupid as hell! i bet money it won't be in the movie.

2.There will be nudity: None of the cast members have ever, and will never show there nude bodies. and, let's hope it's not Mr. Bean!

so, i need to get a clue, do I? there is no proof that there will be any nudity. and, that one about 2 movies, and the DVD thing, is the wildest rumor i'm heard yet!

Thats what stunt doubles are for. I read in an article in MSN News that Daphne is supposed to be running around with her bare butt showing and Sarah Michelle Gellar has it in her contracts not to do nudity so a stunt double will do it for her.

Well Titanic was originally a story about a ship sinking and they added all the nude painting schene and the schene where they were having sex in the car and it was all hot and steamy and then the hand poped up on the window and slowly fell back down. Woah.......I better stop it, it's getitng hot in here. :liplick:

that's not even something comparable! they didn't take a ship sinking, and make it into a sex SCENE (not schene). They took the story of a ship sinking, and made it interesting with a love story. and, the nudity and painting thing was a romantic part. and, TITANIC is rated PG-13, one reason, because of the nudity! face it you rumor advocates, there will not be nudity in this movie! the biggest clue, is that it is rated PG, and nudity isn't listed, which if there were nudity, they would say so, even if it is brief.

okay, read it from someone who has seen the damn movie everyone has a rumor about (it got it from cinecon):

"As Hollywood watched "Rocky and Bullwinkle" and the latest "Flintstones" adaptation fall flat on their faces, "Scooby Doo" will, without question, restore faith that a studio can earn money from a retelling or adaptation. It doesn't mean the film necessarily works, however…

"Scooby Doo" has everything a studio wants in a film, yet everything a die-hard "Scooby" fan doesn't, which is why half of audiences are going to walk out feeling like they'll need a Scooby Snack to recuperate. The film has surprisingly good performances and all the charisma from the cartoon series, but nothing really ties together that well. What's left is a movie that instills a mixture of emotions without specifically targeting a specific niche. Kids are left shaking their heads; adults are left nodding theirs.

The movie opens up with a sequence that's a throwback to the original cartoon series, where all four characters and Scooby are introduced in the film for the first time. You have Fred, who's the self-proclaimed leader of the crime solvers known as "Mystery, Inc." Then there's Velma, the brainy one in the group who never gets the credit she deserves. Next is Daphne, the hot leggy blonde of the bunch who is never taken seriously. And finally, there's Shaggy, the cowardly joker of the gang who, for some reason, has the munchies all the time. (NOTE: Look for a gag regarding Shaggy's seemingly constant "stoned" nature early in the film.)

As the gang finishes solving the mystery for none other than Pamela Anderson, the four of them decide to go their separate ways after an argument, with Scooby Doo vowing to stay with his best friend, Shaggy. The five of them are reunited two years later on Spooky Island after a mysterious park owner named Mondavarious (played by Rowan Atkinson) sends an invite to the gang, asking for their help in solving the mystery of why college students spending their spring break at the island are turning into zombies.

"Scooby Doo" has plenty to offer adults and children, which is where it fails. There are gags thrown in there for those of us who grew up watching the cartoon series as children. For instance, when being invited to "Spooky Island," Shaggy makes it a point saying that he will no longer go anywhere near any place with the names "haunted," "spooky," "death," etc.. in the titles. You'd think that by now, they'd realize that, right? At the same time, though, some of the slapstick comedy such as Scooby and Shaggy skateboarding with a barrel around their heads produce laughter from children only, and leave adults groaning before the next gag.

Surprisingly, all four actors do a terrific job of playing their character down to the bone. Kudos especially to Matthew Lillard, who seemed to have almost stolen the original Shaggy voice by Casey Kasem. While many groaned at the sight of Freddie Prinze Jr.'s blonde wig, the confidence in the tone of his voice is eerily similar to that of the original Fred. Linda Cardellini also does a terrific job with Velma, throwing in a unsure and cautious tone to her voice every now and then. Sarah Michelle Gellar, though probably not surprising to many, was able to portray the ditzy nature of Daphne in a convincing manner, and in addition, also develop her character into a strong female towards the ending.

Had "Scooby Doo" been solely an adult or a children's film, the movie would not have received as much negative buzz as it did but quite frankly, that is not going to affect box-office receipts at all. While it may be a simple, summer fun flick, let's just keep some things in mind when the sequel comes around, shall we?"

Like you said yourself, I can't believe everything I hear...

Anyway, all I know is that in the original script there was to be a scene between Fred and Daphne in which Daphne was nude. This came from ABC and I want to think it might have been Paul Harvey who said it, but that was in the original script. I haven't seen the movie so don't take what I said offensive, but we can just wait and see if two versions of the movie come out...

Until then....

First off, I never said they shot 2 seperate movies. What I sadi was they shot the scenes and THOSE scenes will be on the DVD ONLY. They will not be on the movie in the theater.

All I'm saying is WHAT I HAVE HEARD!!! Yes there are rumors going rampant around about the movie. I guess NONE of us will know ANYTHING for sure until we see the movie. So instead of calling everybody else stupid or their ideas stupid, just tell us what YOU have heard and then each indiviual decide what THEY think is true instead of you trying to dictate what is what.

Okay guys, here it is: my friend and I went to see Scooby-Doo today (two 17 yr olds in a theatre full of little kids...heh). There was nothing like that at all in the movie. Fred & Daphne kiss at the end -- oooh, big deal. That's it. There's also one or two jokes that only the mature would understand, but nothing o-so-horrible.
Take the kids, it's good fun, bodily-function-humor and all that, they'll love it. :)

i said i was sorry :( well, anyways! isn't this labeled for Mindy Cohn in the new series?! and not about the false rumor that I was right about? Let's talk about the series again. I am very pleased that Mindy will be in the series! I watched Scooby Doo lots on Cartoon Network this weekend, and they DO sound alike! I just hope this show doesn't end up as another short-lived Scooby show! who's your favorite (or favourite, if ur in the UK) character??

It's not a problem, Notorious. I don't think anyone on here as anything to be sorry about. It's just a dumb movie...
Anyway, you're right, this was originally about Mindy Cohn being cast as the voice of Velma on a new Scooby Doo series, so we might as get back on topic...

I'm not sure who my favorite character is. Shaggy is a riot I must admit:lol:

Scooby! Once a favorite, always a favorite. But for human, probably Shaggy too. Fred was too "Ken like", Velma was oo proccupied with her "Gadgets"(Perfect for Miindy aka Natalie ;)), and Daphne always seemed kind of slutty? I dunno, something about her just scares me.

 Fred being 'Ken like' was what I always thought of him too. As for Daphne being slutty because of her jeans:lol: ...I think that's something only you would pick up on. Good point though-lol.

Well I dunno about on here, but my all friends say I'm really intuative, which I have no clue why. Maybe I'm just using my inner force in thinking she's kinda slutty. I tend to do that.

Hey are you some kind of rabbit-mole like creature since you spend all day in that hole of yours? :joke:

That's what I mean. I make all these assumptions, and most of them are true. Not saying that that rabbit-mole comment is true. Please don't slam me for that. Por favor señorita?

I saw the movie tonite, and all of the rumors are FALSE! It's clearly a made-for-kid movie, and they surely wouldn't put the filth u people were talking about in it. The worst thing in the movie, would be the violence, and the violence was nothing! I loved the movie, and my 2 favorite characters were in it! Scooby & Scrappy. It was hilarious when Scrappy peed on Daphne, and they kicked him out of Mysteries Inc.! If you haven't seen it, you won't even guess who the villain is! And, I also highly doubt that they have any nude scenes deleted...It was a great movie.

I know who the villain is...I made the mistake of going to the Scooby Doo Movie message board at scoobydoo.com and people who had seen it had it in the title of their posts. :(

Honestly... :joke:

I don't think I'm a rabbit-mole, then again I've never seen one so I wouldn't no. Also, I don't spend all my time in my hole. I come out of my hole every now and then to see the real world and to get on the internet! I just spend most of the time in my hole. It all depends on what day of the week it is, who is chasing me, and if I've offended anyone that day.
My hole is a nice place. It's messy because KT and Karli have all there mess in it right now (such as Red Sox and Yankees junk I'm soon going to burn), but other than that you should come visit it. It's mighty nice;)
