So, I bought Nestle Bliss Natural Sweet Cream earlier this month. This usually tastes really wonderful, like melted vanilla ice cream, sweetened cream, or sweet milk. It's usually nonfat milk, heavy cream, cane sugar, natural flavors. I tried some of it this month, and it tasted slightly off.. I checked the ingredients and was horrified to read the new added ingredients. "Skim milk, cream, sugar, (Buttermilk, soybean oil, gellan gum)"
This was NOT the original wonderful natural ingredients Sweet Cream was known for. I did some research online and other dissatisfied Customers complained about the new ingredients. One particular dissatisfied Customer said something like,"I put Sweet Cream in my coffee and drank it like I've done so many times before with no problems. This time however, it landed me in the ER with a severe allergic reaction. I am allergic to soybean oil. I checked the ingredients when I got home and was horrified the new ingredients have soybean oil in it. The front cover says absolutely nothing about soybean oil and in fact looks the same as the old bottles(There is actually noticeable differences. . Old bottle label had cream pitcher and a sugar container. New bottle has no cream pitcher and no sugar container and has a splashh of cream and a spoonful of brown sugar). They should have put the new ingredients on the front label so there'd be no mistakes about the new ingredients. "
Nestle admitted they added soybean oil, gellan gum and buttermilk to improve the taste. Dissatisfied Customers replied something like,"We Customers were completely fine with the old taste and didn't expect the new ingredients. In fact, the new ingredients made Sweet Cream taste WORSE, not better. We want the old Sweet Cream back, not this new and unwanted version " Nestle replied something like,"Okay, we might have made huge mistakes with the new ingredients and should have thought harder before doing this.
