Nope. LucyCompanyPhan registered in 2001, so she couldn't have posted it. Also, there isn't a topic for any of those three *shrug* Glitch I guess.
Truth 08-21-2002, 07:53 PM It also says theres members that registered in 1969....

Really? What are they're usernames?
Hollow 08-21-2002, 07:57 PM this site wasnt made in 1999
Impressions 08-21-2002, 08:12 PM If you look now the year lists as 1970.
GoldenGuy 08-21-2002, 08:24 PM it's getting closer:lol:
DarleneIllyria 08-21-2002, 08:32 PM Remember how everybody said in the year 2000, computers were going to screw up? I guess since it was 12-31-99, it experienced some kind of glitch that turned the year 99 into 69. I'm not sure why it went to that certain year, but I chalk it down to that.
Swimfan85 08-21-2002, 09:05 PM wait did they even have computers in 1969?
TibbyTibby2 08-21-2002, 09:13 PM moohaha:lol:

Yes, they did have computers before 1969. Only big companies and organizations had them. Even way back before then. Most of the public didn't have access to them like today. Most of them were the size of an average room. Some were even bigger, especially the Super Computers. If anyone is interested, do a search on the history of computers and the Internet and you'll be amazed. :)
TV Favorites 08-22-2002, 10:36 AM If I remember correctly, TJ used to use another message board before VBulletin. VBulletin's default date is December 1969, so those are probably messages from the old board before we moved to this one.

Yeah, I've read posts from Febuary 2000 about 'old boards' and 'moving'. But I doubt that it's that. It seems more like a glitch. I remember looking at it a few months ago and it was perfectly fine *shrug*

It's probably a computer glitch or like Jenny said, the Y2K thing. Three's Company wasn't even on in 1969.

Yep! LOL That was about a member having the register date of 'December 31 1969'
skyforge 08-24-2002, 04:43 AM This doesn't explain what's going on, it's just a little background information.
The UNIX and Windows operating systems store dates as a single number which represents the number of seconds since January 1, 1970.
0 = Midnight, January 1, 1970
1 = 12:00:01 AM, January 1, 1970
1030177303 = 8:21:46 AM, Aug, 24, 2002
Negative numbers just work backwards from 1/1/70:
-1 = 11:59:59 PM, Dec 31, 1969
This ends todays computer science lesson. And remember that, despite what science or religion tells you, the beginning of time is really January 1, 1970.
I could explain what's going to happen on January 19, 2038 but I'd have to explain things like 32-bit integers, two's complement notation and the concept of wraparound. If you were at all interested in that stuff, you'd probably already know it by now.
:)

Thanks for such an enlightening piece of information, skyforge. One learns something everyday. :)
