At the time Extreme Makeover Home Edition was all the rage Ty Pennington turned from home improvement expert to famous celebrity and making deals with almost everything you see. So it wasn't surprising that Sears offered Ty a huge deal to be their spokesman by appearing in a series of commercials. The very first commercial Ty Pennington did for Sears was to promote a home sale. The commercial begins with a couple trying to clean their yard when the husband sees Ty and says hello and then Ty tells them about Sears's new home sale. Ty Pennington became such a huge superstar in Sears commercials that he became one of Sears biggest celebrities and even launched his own exclusive line of home furnishings called Ty Pennington Style which consisted of drapery bathroom decor bedding and home accents. Believe it or not I used to have a crush on Ty Pennington when I first saw his Sears home line and I thought he was cute and I even have a poster from Sears with Ty Pennington as well. Since Extreme Makeover Home Edition was cancelled Ty Pennington hasn't been seen anywhere since and he should make a comeback to do more commercials
