Frequent TV show cancellations are starting to change how U.S. viewers decide what to watch. In fact, whether or not the show has concluded has a significant impact on whether people sample it, according to a survey from YouGov.

Interesting, the individuals who put the shows together, (writers, actors, showrunners etc) have a completely different view on the matter. The overwhelming majority feel viewing a series at the intervals originally envisioned by the creative team is a better viewer experience. Think about a speed reader who reads a novel in a weekend as opposed to a reader who enjoys a book over days and weeks and thinks about the story, the situation and the characters.

It's true. If something is new, I don't invest myself in it until I know it has at least a season 2 in the works.
