I watched the 20/20 documentary on her called "Tragic Beauty" on YouTube and really kind of felt bad about how the last few years of her life was with being married to that jerk lawyer who exploited her and didn't care about her drug addiction. Then the final straw was the death of her son.
I know everyone probably had a mixed opinion on her because she married that 90 year old Oil Tycoon back in the 90s in which people thought she was a gold digger.
But I consider her the modern day Marilyn Monroe who hung out with the wrong type of people in life Sad
I don't get too emotional about celebrity deaths but she was one of the rare cases as I still remember that day seeing the news she tragically passed away at only 39

She really didn't appeal to me all that much. Her persona was a bit overblown for my tastes. And the "sizzle" around her just seemed too manufactured.

I will be kind and say she was a troubled person who somehow reached the top of the modeling profession. She fell into the same trap of a lot of people who came up from poverty and low education (not saying she was necessarily dumb, I think she had a low IQ but she disks again zoom up the top of a demanding profession) and being in a demanding profession with loads and loads of money succumbed to illegal drug use. It didn’t help that she was sort of a laughing stock due to her actions and personality.
Her teenage son dies which is absolutely horrible. I don’t have children but I love children and if a child of mine would die, it would send me in a spiral. But my parents lost my older brother, their first child at eight years old, had me then my mother suffered a miscarriage and mostly they made it through without getting loaded or going bonkers. But some people don’t have that.
Plus she had a lawyer boyfriend who claimed to be the father of her newborn daughter (which he wasn’t) who probably was slowly poisoning her with the drugs to take over her estate after her death. Sociopathic to be sure but not that uncommon as one thinks. Thankfully the little girl’s real father was found and by all accounts is a decent person and a good father. So at least the daughter didn’t/doesn’t have to live with a drug addict, train wreck of a mother and a grifter for a stepfather. She still has to deal with the pain of losing her mother but she doesn’t have any first hand memories of her.

My opinion on Anna Nicole Smith? She was one of those celebrities who wanted to stand out using three names like Kathie Lee Gifford, David Ogden Stiers, David Hyde Pierce, David Alan Grier, John Michael Higgins, Mary-Kate Olsen, Harriet Sansom Harris, and Michael J. Fox. ;)

I thought she was beautiful, but a troubled soul.
I used to love watching the Anna Nicole Show on E!

I do agree on the inside part as she had another side that I wish more people realize she had like she was a caring mom to her son Daniel and her daughter the few short months she had with her. And she got involved with charities like PETA since she was a big Dog lover.

Just another forgettable 'celebrity' who was famous for no apparent reason.

I adored her and was devastated at her passing. She left this world way too soon. Such a tragedy.

The first look at the Anna Nicole Smith documentary Netflix is releasing May 16. This documentary is supposed to be showing a different side to her of what was she like behind the lights and glamour and the side the public view doesnt know about

That Netflix Documentary really didnt paint her in a good light
1.) It mentioned what a creep her dad was
2.) It claimed that Annas daughters (Dannilynn) father Larry was nothing but a user and looking to make a name for himself through Anna and thats why she took off to the Bahamas
3.) Annas friend from the 80s claimed her and Anna were married at one point. And Anna stole her childhood stories about being abused and passed them off as her own.
Does anyone plan to watch the Netflix Doc or already did

I remember Howard K. Stern going on Howard Stern with her often. It was free publicity for them which is what they were most interested in. I would usually turn the show off when she came on.
