Have you ever noticed that everyone except Joyce DeWitt is clowning around during their credit? John Ritter falls backward on the fence, Priscilla Barnes stands on one leg like a flamingo, Don Knotts growls like a lion, and Richard Kline gets too close for comfort with an elephant.

Meanwhile, Joyce is shown gently playing with small children and animals.

That was John's son that spontaneously interrupted Joyce while she was feeding the goat. She kept rolling and pretended it was supposed to happen. Perhaps she was also supposed to goof off but something else happened and it was too good to cut. Its almost if he walked on cue. But it was spontaneous.

I havent ever seen that episode!! (I wonder if there is 1 of that)

They obviously wanted to establish a serious character aspect. Who would want to watch a show where everyone is goofy? They knew what they were doing.

Yeah, I think that Joyce reveled that the little boy in the denim overalls that rolls up on Joyce and the goats is John's son Jason.
