Right now a local station in philly is showing the first season of sanford and son and i have not seen grady or esther at all-not even rollo-those are the 3 characters who made the show funny. So i was wondering did they appear in the 2nd or 3rdseason?

They appered in the second and sixth seasons I think

I'm pretty sure Aunt Esther and Grady started in the third season, but Rollo was in the second.

I always thought that Julio was the best sparring partner for Fred.

Aunt Esther's first appearance came in the episode "The Big Party" from the 2nd season (Episode #29)

Grady's first appearance came in the episode "Libra Rising All Over Lamont" from the 3rd season (Episode #40)

Yea your right and I also read over the net the other day that all 3, Aunt Ester, Grady and Rollo appeared in the 2nd season.. too bad Melvin had to go, he was pretty funny!:)
