After churning out a series-best run with Season 4, "Dexter" returned with a dud in Season 5, and her name was Lumen.
Not only did actress Julia Stiles seem out of place on the show, but the character sucked up far too much of Dexter’s time, time we wish had been focused on Dex or spent with other characters. Lumen’s presence was a dull misstep for the show which had already been killing it (pun intended) for years.
Thankfully, we only had to suffer through one season of her storylines before she was kicked to the curb.
