View Full Version : Nick at Nite is making me mad! moviegoer 08-20-2002, 08:06 PM I can't believe they're showing family ties at 4:00 and 4:30! i can't stay up that late! n&n never really gave FT a chance. From the begining they were showing it late. anyone else feel this way? Crimson and Clover 08-21-2002, 07:02 PM i agree i like to watch FT and threes company but i cant stay up late because i have school so if i stayed up and watch it i would only get like 2 hours of sleep. Warm & Fuzzy 08-22-2002, 02:44 AM Ditto-wise... 4.00AM and 4.30AM are ridiculous time slots. It's around this time that people are in bed. Montana Ponine 08-22-2002, 08:12 PM I hate Nick at Nite. Family Ties and Three's Company are the best shows on that channel and they both have ridiculous time slots!!! They might as well just take them of the air!!!! It's just not fair, especially considering how often they show the Cosby Show and Cheers. Terrible....They need to treat ALL their shows with respect!!!!!!!! ClassicTV4Ever 08-23-2002, 04:39 PM I'm with the rest of you! N@N is so ridiculous. The schedule has no variety at all. And I CANNOT believe that they're sticking "Charles In Charge" at 5 and 5:30! What I wish they would do is get rid of the double takes, that way more shows can be fit in and leave the late night/early morning timeslots for the repeats. I can't stay up until 4 and 5 in the morning just to watch Family Ties and Charles In Charge. FamTiesFan 08-23-2002, 08:28 PM Hello I's just like to say that I agree with all of you who love Family Ties they show it way way too late. I am just starting to record them and everytime I hear they are going to move it up to another time it just turns me off to want to recored them and another thing that turns me off is I thought they had a contract for Family Ties? That N@N is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ridiculas I wish they would take it off and put it on TVLAND. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o FamTies Fan ~Tropical Punch 19~ 08-25-2002, 08:20 PM yeah we should make a petition for family ties to have a better time slot! MJFfan 08-27-2002, 10:56 PM Yeah, I know! I have to be  by then! That's a great  about the petition! hch 08-29-2002, 07:28 PM Nobody sees enough "Family Ties" on Nick at Nite. I mean, I like "the Cosby Show" as much as the next person, but at least they should have put "Family Ties" at a more decent hour. I mean, who the hell suggested that they put "Kids Say the Darndest Things" on Nick at Nite at 9Pm? It comes on enough as it is on TNN. What a waste of space. They should have had "Family Ties' placed there instead of all that stupid stuff they show, Except for maybe "Three's Company, "The Cosby Show" and "All in the Family". But all that other stuff, they can have. If they really want classic TV, they should put stuff like "Good Times", "Maude", "Family Affair", or the completed versions of "Bewitched" instead of the butchered ones they show on Hallmark Channel. So "Family Ties" is not the only show that needs some respect. Meg 09-03-2002, 07:54 PM hey everyone! i thought of a great idea for a nick at nite schedule and i'd like y'all to check it out and repy in support of it so we can get it on NAN! to look at it go here www.tvland.com/boards then go look under Nick at nite then click on show suggestions then go to page 2 and click on Great Idea Here! posted by Meg2002 and please reply if u like it i wanna see what people think of it! ok well i'll post the sample schedule i created here if u dont feel like going there, here it is: ok well i just had a brilliant idea (people post here if you like it!) ok here it is: have an alternating schedule like for example: Sunday: 9-10 all in the family 10-11 family ties 11-12 cheers 12-1 cosby 1-2 3s company 2-3 charles in charge 3-4 coach 4-5 all in the family 5-6 family ties Monday: 9-10 family ties 10-11 cheers 11-12 cosby 12-1 3s company 1-2 charles in charge 2-3 coach 3-4 all in the family 4-5 family ties 5-6 cheers Tuesday: 9-10 cheers 10-11 cosby 11-12 3's company 12-1 charles in charge 1-2 coach 2-3 all in the family 3-4 family ties 4-5 cheers 5-6 cosby Wednesday: 9-10 cosby 10-11 3's company 11-12 charles in charge 12-1 coach 1-2 all in the family 2-3 family ties 3-4 cheers 4-5 cosby 5-6 3s company Thursday: 9-10 threes company 10-11 charles in charge 11-12 coach 12-1 all in the family 1-2 family ties 2-3 cheers 3-4 cosby 4-5 threes company 5-6 charles in charge Friday: 10-11 charles in charge 11-12 coach 12-1 all in the family 1-2 family ties 2-3 cheers 3-4 cosby 4-5 3s company 5-6 charles in charge Saturday: 10-11 coach 11-12 all in the family 12-1 family ties 1-2 cheers 2-3 cosby 3-4 3s company 4-5 charles in charge 5-6 coach as you can see all the shows get a chance in each of the timeslots so its perfectly fair for all the shows and everyones favorite show is in a good timeslot. and the shows kinda relvove around the diffrent slots so its fair for everyone. so what do u guys think?????? MBFTfan 09-07-2002, 10:32 PM I agree too. Nick at Nite shows way too much of the Cosby Show. Not that its a bad show, but I mean, come on! With this summer marathon schedule its on like 3 or 4 nights a week, for a 3 hour block. That's ridiculous, no show should get that much time on the air. Family Ties didn't even get a marathon block. Its only on for an hour from 4-5. Who's up at that hour? They never gave the show a chance, they need to put it back on in prime time. I'm all for petitioning Nick at Nite to return it to normal hours. Either that or a permanent time slot on TVLand. Either way, its one of the best sitcoms they have and their not giving it any time and something needs to be done about it. While we're at it, lets put Bewitched back in the lineup too! Faith 09-08-2002, 06:19 AM You all need to get Direct TV.. You would get 2 Nickeloden channels so you could watch it 3 hours earlier.. Crimson 09-09-2002, 01:38 PM I too am left bitter that I would have to wait up soo late just to see Family Ties. I'm just happy that they aren't doing the same thing with Cheers. And they put Threes Company ahead of Family Ties! Whats up with that mess? Sammy M. Malone 09-10-2002, 09:05 PM i liked the old schedule before camp! it was like 9-10:Cosby show 10-11:Cheers 11-12:all in the family 12-1:cosby show 1-2:cheers 2-3: family ties 2 isnt as late as 4! i dont mind the cosby show but i dont see why they had to bring in kids say the darndest things! MBFTfan 09-15-2002, 02:57 AM Have you seen the N@N website? The whole thing is devoted to The Cosby Show. They have cast bios and pictures, episode lists, even screensavers! They have literally nothing for Family Ties, or any of their other shows for that matter. This is getting out of hand, I mean its one thing to promote a show, but this goes beyond promotion. It makes me so angry, the other shows deserve some attention too, especially Family Ties. Someone on this board suggested that they were getting paid off to do all this and I was reluctant to agree, but I think (and I could be wrong) that there have been some big shifts in the N@N hierarchy and I'm starting to think that person was right. I don't know why else this would be happening. What is going on???!!:( Crimson 09-16-2002, 02:39 AM This may go to prove that they aren't at all concerned with viewer opinions. cubsfan1060 09-22-2002, 04:17 PM I agree with everyone. Although I will admit that I love Cosby guy and Cheers, Family Ties and 3's Co deserve to treated just as much as the other shows. I will admit that Nick at Nite has also gone downhill since they added the Cosby Show. They should have stuck with their 50's through late 70's programs and then have 3's CO and F.T. instead of airing crap like Cosby! I am not putting down Cosby at all. I think Cosby SHow fans should stay up late and F.T. fans can dose off after about 9 or 10 P.M. ClassicTV4Ever 09-30-2002, 11:35 AM I don't think anyone should have to stay up until 4 in the morning or so to watch their favorite show. Like I said before, the double takes is what sucks up so much of the precious program time. If they got rid of the double takes, they could fit so much more in. N@N is on for only 8 hours a day. There's no need to be favoring certain fan bases and each show should get equal treatment due to the lack of time. If Nick @ Nite had only one half hour show of say Family Ties, Cheers, or whatever show they choose to put on, and not put on any show twice during the day, they would be able to include so many programs into their lineup. It just makes more sense to me, and it'd probably make a lot of people very happy. The only place I have even a remote chance of seeing Family Ties other than N@N is on my local CBS affiliate. And they only use it as a filler either after a sporting event or on holidays before special holiday programming in place of the noon newscast. shocolah 10-26-2002, 04:47 AM It comes on where I live 3-330 am, but I wish they'd show it in Primetime. Why can't they show a little less Cheers and Cosby? Family ties was a huge hit, too. It was always No. 2 in the ratings, sometimes No. 1. Even one episode would great in the early evening hours. Guess I can always tape it. I don't w.t.h. they are putting Charles in Charge on for! I think that show should just remain on WGN. tvfan 2 01-19-2003, 08:26 PM I think they should cut off Nickolden. Or at least cut off cartoons by 6:00pm. They show cartoons unitl 9:00pm I think if they go through some of their shows and add some new ones more people would Watch. I never liked Cobsy or Cheers. If they want to put it on thats fine with me. I think they could show different shows from Different timelines. Like 50's 60's and 70's. That way their be somthing for everyone. Robert Tilton 01-21-2003, 12:09 PM The main problem is that when they gave Ties the 9:00 PM EST slot in fall of 2001 it didn't do well in the ratings so they gave it a worse time. (The Fox Network and Keep on Keaton On Promos were on N@N at the time). I agree it should get a better time. With Prime Time slots 9:00 PM EST-Midnight EST, its about the ratings. With slots from Midnight EST-5:30 AM EST, its not so much about ratings as it is about airplay. You only have so many airplays per episode, depending on contract status and what have you. Be patient and I'm sure Nick will change the time slots around. And it wouldn't hurt to complain either to postmaster@tvland.com:D:D Amen. |
