If you had to choose four sitcoms that you think best represent the genre to put on a hypothetical Mount Rushmore which four would you choose and why?

Frasier- First six seasons were top notch, some of the best comedy ever made. I do wish Kelsey Grammer wasn't insistent on reviving Frasier. David Hyde Pierce isn't interested, John Mahoney and Eddie are dead, and we don't want the original's legacy tarnished.
WKRP in Cincinnati- Almost every episode was top notch, too bad it didn't get to 6 seasons.
I Love Lucy- shows you can be really funny without raunchiness
Benson- What a shame this gem hasn't done better in syndication, seasons 2-5 were especially good. It would have also been nice to see a final season 8 where Benson won the governor's race and Gatling was now working for him.

There are others?

Okay, lets go with I Love Lucy, All In The Family, Cheers, and I'm torn between Friends and Seinfeld for the fourth spot.

I Love Lucy
The Andy Griffith Show
Three's Company
Cheers

I think ILL episodes have held up and define situational comedy.
TAGS has a great cast of characters.
TC John Ritter was fantastic with the Ropers, Chrissy, Janet and Larry.
Cheers- I chose this one even though I really don't like the show. However, the show resonates with so many people I know. Maybe if Bill Cosby wouldn't have been a dirty pervert then I would have chosen TCS instead.

Not an easy question. But for me I think

I Love Lucy
All in the Family
Dick Van Dyke Show
Beverly Hillbillies

Yet many others come close, like

Green Acres
The Andy Griffith Show ( Black and White episodes)
Bewitched (Dick York episodes)
Three’s Company
MASH

Just to name a few.

Now it the list was based on which actors would be on my sitcom Mount Rushmore I'd got with:

Lucille Ball
Jack Benny
Don Knots
Mary Tyler Moore

With your permanent avatar and signature of The Simpsons, I assumed that would have been one of your picks.

At one point in time it would've been. I feel like the show wore out its welcome a long time ago. Around 6 years ago I finally got fed up enough with their cheap shots at Christianity that I stopped watching it completely. However I can still appreciate memories of a lot of the show's humor even though I don't watch it anymore.

I would probably change my avatar if it didn't match my signature. I don't feel like changing my signature.
