View Full Version : Who's The Boss? Coming To IFC MA 02-22-2023, 09:06 AM Starts on March 24, and it will be airing from 6:00 AM until 12:30 PM. MA 03-05-2023, 02:31 PM IFC will also be showing it on Sundays starting April 2 from 5:30 AM until 9:00 AM. TMC 06-18-2023, 05:03 AM Was GAC Family a better overall place to air Who's the Boss? They at the very least from what I can recall, aired the episodes unedited (in effect, what they were when they originally aired on ABC). IFC likes to crunch the closing credits to the bottom of the screen so that they could go straight to the next episode at the upper half of the screen. I can also tell that IFC is airing the "syndicated edits" (like the ones that aired on Nick at Nite back in the 2000s) because I was recently watching an episode from the fourth season called "Just Mona and Me". The episode featured the first appearance of Mona's new beau, Max, played by Leslie Nielsen. In the scene where Max calls Tony to inform him that he's breaking things off with Mona, IFC cuts out the part where after speaking with Max, a despondent Tony says "I wonder what Gavin McCloud would do in a time like this?" (or something to that effect), since Tony was beforehand, singing the Love Boat theme song. TMC 09-13-2023, 11:21 PM Was GAC Family a better overall place to air Who's the Boss? Another "syndicated edit" that I just picked up on from IFC is from the "In Search of Tony" episode at the start of Season 6. During the original network broadcast on ABC back in 1989 and when GAC Family aired it, there's a scene in which Jonathan says "Wow, look at those seashells!" as a woman in a skimpy, two-piece bikini walks by. The very next shot is of an angry Sam saying "Jonathan, when are you ever going to grow up!?" I caught another one today from IFC's airing of the "In Sam We Trust" episode (the one where Sam gets in trouble for giving the answers to her classmate on their French exam) from Season 5. Jonathan overhears Mona and Angela speaking in French in the living room. IFC cut out the part where Jonathan emphatically asks "Are you talking about sex!?" TMC 02-29-2024, 06:34 AM I recently noticed while watching the "Babysitter" (http://reviewingeverytvshowiown.blogspot.com/2017/01/whos-boss-babysitter.html) episode (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-babysitter/id1528039547?i=1000501574789) from Season 2, IFC edited out Sam's remark about Jonathan's pet hamster looking like Don King after blowing on it with a hair dryer. |
