Anyways, playing along, One Day At A Time, Barbara Cooper “Sonny Boy”, the only one of 209 episodes not in.

There were several Andy Griffith episodes during seasons 1-5 in which Don Knotts did not appear.

Both Dennis' mom and Mrs. Wilson missed number of episodes. Dennis' Grandmother and Mr. Wilson’s sister filled in.

Different Bradly girls missed episodes of Petticoat Junction.

Ruth Buzzi missed 2 episodes of Laugh-in and Gary Owens missed 5.

It's pretty rare for main cast members to have missed only one or two episodes out of the complete series.

Only Florence Henderson, Ann B. Davis, and Barry Williams appear in all 117 episodes of The Brady Bunch. Robert Reed didn't appear in two episodes. The other five kids each missed only one episode in the second season.

There was 1 episode of Home Improvement Zachary Ty Bryan missed, might have been the season 8 premiere. It was near the end of Randy being a regular. Taran Noah Smith missed a few episodes, but later on Mark wasn't really an important part of the show like Brad.

Redd Foxx missed about nine episodes of Sanford and Son due to a contract dispute, so the show centered around his friend Grady Wilson. Those episodes weren't as good. Foxx's one liners and chemistry with Demond Wilson made the show a hit.

Dick York missed a bunch of episodes of Bewitched.

Mike missed two episodes: "I Was a 99lb Weakling" and "The Card-Carrying Red Shoes". Plus, he only appeared in the opening scenes of "Hitting the High Seas" and "The Monkees Watch Their Feet".

Davy missed "Alias Micky Dolenz", however, he appeared with the others in a brief interview at the end of the episode.

When I was a kid, watching the reruns on Nick at Nite in the '80s, I believed they aired the episodes out of order and that Mike actually left the show. I had even seen an interview with Davy Jones where he mentions Mike is absent for "half the episodes" in the second season. I figured that confirmed what I thought. However, I was wrong (and so was Davy!). Mike never left the show. He just missed a couple of episodes.

I could have thought that because he was absent for a few and then at the time, in the '80s, when The Monkees reunited, it was without Mike. I don't know. I was a kid... with a kid brain. I didn't realize the truth until 1997, lol, when the show returned for the Block Party Summer lineup.

I think Carroll O'Connor missed a few episodes of AITF in a row at the beginning of one of the seasons, Merry.

Gary Coleman missed a few episodes of Diff'rent Strokes, as did Todd Bridges (Todd, esp. toward the end). And, Dana Plato missed a full season before going on recurring status.

Whitney Blake missed a few episodes of Hazel near the start of the second season.

Going way back, Elinor Donahue missed a few episodes toward the end of season three of Father Knows Best.

Beverly Archer missed an episode here and there on Mama's Family.

Sebastian Cabot / Mr. French missed several episodes of Family Affair due to illness.

He was temporarily replaced by British actor John Williams, who played Mr. French's brother Nigel.
