This show, particularly the first season, was great at pulling at one's heartstrings. They really were well-written scripts. A good family show. My only problem is that in the later seasons, they should have allowed Anissa Jones to act more her actual age and not continue to have to wear the pigtails. She was growing up and wanted to act a little older.

They kept Jody pretty young too. I thought he still talked baby talk.

I wish the show had run a little longer. I wanted to see Bill give Jody his first shave. :lol:

More importantly though, I wanted at least one of the 3 marriageable single main characters to get married (or that nubile hottie Sharon [Sherry Alberoni], with Cissy as maid of honor).

If I had my way, I'd bring back Lady Marchwood (Ida Lupino) with news that she's called off her marriage and is ready to get it on with French instead. Woo-hoo! :) Bill would hook up with one of those insanely hot foreign ladies that were around regularly, and Cissy would put the heat on Gregg to either pop the question or she's moving on.
