Hi!
Recently, I went to the primo video store here in Seattle (primo for choices, that is), Scarecrow Video. I saw 4 Columbia House "Bewitched" videos. I watched them. I forgot how much I LOVE(d) this show! I can't really explain it, other than it gives me the best feeling.....warm fuzzies (I know, gag me w/ a spoon - hehehe). The series had the best characters and was so light and effervescent, never preachy, even when there was some moralizing to be done.
Anyway, I proceeded to watch EVERY "Bewitched" offering the store has. I also checked out my local library, to no avail.
I ended up renting ONE "I Dream of Jeannie" video (I used to watch that one, along w/ Bewitched, as a child growing up, during their syndicated runs in the 70s). IJOJ is so completely INFERIOR and INCOMPARABLE to "Bewitched." So insulting. I can't believe I ever even watched the show as a child. Hmmmmm.
I still may order the Columbia House offerings. But I also want to know if anyone else has any other suggestions for getting all the old shows on video (cheaply).
I have really grown tired of forums, for the most part, so I rarely post. I did read the topic about Darrin being a bigot. VERY interesting. Fun to read.
But if anyone can help out on suggestions on the easiest, and least expensive, method for obtaining old copies of the series on video, t'would be appreciated. I don't have cable or satellite tv, so I can't do it that way.
