Barbra Streisand’s Memoir Gets November Release Date

Barbra Streisand’s memoir has been in the works for years and now the highly anticipated book, written by the Broadway star herself, has a release date.

“My Name is Barbra” from Viking Press will officially release on Nov. 7. The book is currently available to order on Penguin Random House’s official website and Amazon, where it’s already a No. 1 bestseller.



“In ‘My Name Is Barbra’ she tells her own story about her life and extraordinary career, from growing up in Brooklyn to her first star-making appearances in New York nightclubs to her breakout performance in “Funny Girl” (musical and film) to the long string of successes in every medium in the years that followed,” the book’s description reads.

When you think of performers with exceptional talent and amazing voices the first singer that comes to mind is Barbra Streisand and it's easy to see why she charms the world with her enchanting voice and not only can she sing but is a talented actress as well. With the release of her My Name Is Barbra memoir in November we will get to read a different side of Barbra that many people never knew about and we will learn more about what's in the coming stages for her in the future. Because Barbra Streisand is such a talented singer there aren't many other singers that can compare to her and Barbra is truly unique at what she does because she sings songs with her own unique style "remember her real fast fun version of Jingle Bells from her Christmas album?
