I can't believe that I missed this when it actually occurred, but last year officially marked 40 years since Mork & Mindy ended its four year run on ABC. With that being said, does it still have a place in popular culture? Of course, the show helped launch Robin Williams' career and made him a household name.

But did the show's controversial tinkering and retooling after Season 1 ruin its reputation? Like, is the rest of it though, just a blur and not as fondly upheld?

But did the show's controversial tinkering and retooling after Season 1 ruined [sic] its reputation? Like, is the rest of it though, just a blur and not as fondly upheld?

For the vast majority of people who have any familiarity with the series, the supporting cast change made for Season 2 is not something that affects their opinion of the show -- in fact, casual fans today hardly have that anywhere near the forefront of their memories, let alone as something that would ruin a reputation. Ditto the late episodes with Jonathan Winters.

The series' reputation will always consist of good memories of Williams and Dawber, their excellence both individually and together. So a definite "no."
