I was able to purchase a set of mobile/responsive styles/themes for our forums thanks to some generous donations.

There are five different styles available. This board has the Classic SO Blue responsive style on it for testing purposes. I'm still trying to tweak some of the colors to make it similar to the current default. The colors don't alternate on the search results or list of threads on the forums. The YouTube videos stretch across the screen on desktop.

1. Mobile/Responsive - Classic SO Blue
2. Mobile/Responsive - vBulletin default (blue background)

There are three other themes which have completely different designs and buttons/graphics. These are designed more for mobile than desktop.

3. Mobile/Responsive - Blue
4. Mobile/Responsive - Green
5. Mobile/Responsive - Red

I might make one of the mobile/responsive themes as the default for guests once I get it the way I want it. I think there's a way to detect whether people are on mobile. It might help more people find us because Google and other search engines seem to rank mobile friendly sites higher.

I unlocked all of the individual boards, so you can use one theme across all of them. The PC/widescreen default and all of the other styles will still be available.

You can change the style from the User CP - Edit Options (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/profile.php?do=editoptions) under Forum Skin or from the bottom left of the page. If you pick one of the styles, you will lose the custom headers and show photos on the individual boards.

Please let me know if there's any issues with them. They look pretty good on mobile, especially in horizontal mode.

I thought you used mobile. I think it will give people on mobile a better experience. I don't know how people can type more than a few words on those tiny keyboards, but I can see the benefit of looking up information.

It will be a good investment in the long run if more people find us in the search engines.

Yeah, I use the site on the iPhone. Looks and feels the same to me as on desktop (except a bit smaller of course). Keypad works fine. I use the iPad mini a lot at home, like right now, so maybe that helps me, since they’re similar.

The mobile/responsive theme does have some added features like the floating top arrow button. It also rotates to a different theme in vertical mode.

This was the best option for the software version we are using. I didn't really want to switch from vBulletin 3.8.11.

I did some experimenting with the phone and site settings this morning and decided to keep everything the way I'm used to. But I hope you find the investment useful.

I would like to say I looked at the mobile skins, they look 99% the same on my browser!

Those ARE NOT mobile themes...... This is a mobile theme

They aren't exactly mobile themes. They are more responsive themes. They adjust based on your screen's resolution. I think they look better in mobile.

These are much better designed themes than the one you linked. They include almost all of the features.

That one looks very basic with limited features. It would have been good enough 5-10 years ago.

I'm not sure if that theme would have even have worked on vBulletin 3.8.11 . I think it was designed for older versions.

Talking today on the site feedback and suggestions board made me re-notice this one. So how's it going? Was it worth the money?

I'm not sure how many people are using them. They are available for those who choose to use them. They may or may not offer a better browsing experience than our default PC theme.

I still want to tweak the color scheme a little bit before I try to make it the default for mobile guests, which would help for search engine purposes.
