In 1987 Mars debuted a candy bar that might have been their own answer to Peter Paul's Mounds and Almond Joy candy bars. The result Bounty. Not to be confused with the paper towels of the same name Bounty was a mix of chocolate and coconut flavors much like Mounds bars and also had a dark chocolate and almond flavored bar too. To launch the debut of Bounty Chocolate Bars a unique commercial was made supposedly set in Hawaii that featured the uniqueness of Bounty Bars and used the classic hit Try A Little Tenderness as it's jingle. Bounty Chocolate Bars were discontinued in the 90's but it was odd to see that Mars came up with their answer to Mounds bars
