I was a good Poster on another Website and I started a bad Thread with good intentions called,"Favorite Posters?" I started this thread for it to be a praise thread, and the Admin deleted the thread within an hour as if it never happened and permanently banned me despite me not being a problem Poster and being a good Poster. I had come back roughly an hour later to see how well my,"Good idea," went over, and I saw basically a blank page with the words,"You have been banned. Date ban will end. Never." I was stunned.:eek:
The Admin most likely thought something like,"River Jordan ]is most likely trying to get Posters to alienate each other. I'm going to delete this Thread before it causes Posters to resent each other, and ban River Jordan too." That ill thought out Thread with good intentions could have had Posters saying stuff like,"Slot Lover is my favorite Poster. His posts are mature, insightful, and wise." Red and Blue could have responded,"Starlight, how is Slot Lover your favorite Poster? I stood up for you when a lot of Posters ragged, dragged, and really sunk their claws into you. Slot Lover didn't try to help you out at all! Shouldn't I be your favorite Poster?" Starlight ould have responded,"Red and Blue, I didn't ask you to stand up for me. You stood up for me all on your own. I find you a manipulative, condescending Poster. Why would I choose you as my favorite Poster?" Red and Blue could have responded something like,"I should never have stood up for you. You're a jerk and a Scumbag. You deserve the ragging, dragging, and claw sinking you got."
Starlight could have responded,"Eff you!" That ill thought out thread with good intentions could have turned really badly really quickly and deserved to be deleted. I only wish the Admin deleted it and gave me a warning to not start any more bad Threads with good intentions like that, especially since I wasn't a problem Poster and was a good Poster.
