Cindy Williams, who played the cheerful but demure Shirley Feeney in the popular TV sitcom “Happy Days” and its spinoff “Laverne & Shirley,” has died. She was 75.

Williams’ children, Zak and Emily Hudson, told the Associated Press through family spokesperson Liza Cranis that Williams died in Los Angeles on Jan. 25 after a brief illness. The news was also posted on Williams’ official website.

“The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” the statement said. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”

This one is a complete and utter shock. After Penny left us, I really thought we’d have Cindy around for years to come.

Not only a phenomenal actress, she was truly a wonderful person. I was fortunate enough to meet her many times over the years, and she never once treated me like a fan. She always treated me like I was an old friend.

I’ll never forget her kindness and all of the laughs she gave us over the years. Truly an immeasurable loss.

I came here to post this and damn Spectrum internet went out again as it did last night about 2 hours before the news of Lisa Loring hit. I guess I'm going to have to find another provider.

:rip: Cindy.

Decades is showing it today, from noon until 6am Sunday, then they're showing The Addams Family in memory of Lisa Loring.

RIP Angel Face:(

I think that I said once before that Cindy Williams, especially during her Laverne and Shirley days, really looked a lot (https://moviechat.org/tt0074016/Laverne-and-Shirley/58c7316c5ec57f0478f7016f/ZOOEY-DESCHANEL-TO-PLAY-SHIRLEY-IF-THERE-WAS-EVER-A-REMAKE) like Zooey Deschanel (https://twitter.com/baitandswitcher/status/338144228381179904).

Cynthia did live for 5 years after Marshall died so it is years to come for 5 years

How well do you know the onscreen career of Cindy Williams? (https://www.metv.com/quiz/how-well-do-you-know-the-onscreen-career-of-cindy-williams)

From her bigger roles to obscure appearances, think you know the career of the late, great Cindy Williams?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Clearly I meant much more than that or I wouldn't have made the comment. Also, if you want to be technical, it was just over 4 years, so yeah, I meant far longer.

This is really good--someone put together the full-length theme with added scenes, to fill the whole thing out to an extended version.

It's been on Youtube for a few years, but it's got a lot of good clips. RIP, Cindy!

Here's my tribute in respectful memory of lovely Cindy Williams.

Lyrics from "Beautiful" by Gordon Lightfoot.

At times I just don't know
How you could be anything but beautiful
286240

...it seems so lucky just to have the right
Of telling you with all my might, you're beautiful tonight
286241
286242

Laughing eyes and smiling face....
Well I must say it means so much to me, to be the one
Who's telling you...
286243

I'm telling you, that you're beautiful

What caused Cindy Williams to pass away? (Google)

Cindy led a healthy and joyous life with seemingly no history of any illness or chronic disease. Based on an educated guess, the illness she died from may have developed later in her life, likely due to "old age", and reportedly as a result of complications with the same, the star passed away aged 75.Feb 28, 2023

some lame / no autopsy ?
