Young Sheldon viewers know that it's only a matter of time before George has an affair with Brenda, and things just got even more awkward.

I have been a fan of this show since the beginning, and this comes from someone who was a casual watcher of The Big Bang Theory.

An issue of doing prequels is having to follow the storyline of the successor show. Young Sheldon is such a hit that the writers and the networks dont want to kill off George, because this will depress and cancel the show. The father George is also very likeable and a good guy so it is hard to believe what the parent show said about him. There are hints and temptation to cheat but why? George wouldnt cheat on the neighbor lady who I think is fairly unattractive and overweight for his attractive wife at home.

The show sort of painted itse;f in a corner because of canon but when the show came on five years ago, they didnt worry about it because the main character was nine years old and this wouldnt happen for again, five more years, and who knows if the series will last that long.

It has, but the network wants the show to continue, and the writers have fudged the ages of Sheldon and Missy and cant anymore. I made another post on how to badly solve the problem, by saying Sheldon misspoke when his father died "I said 14, he died when I was 17 when I went to Stanford..." but I am not a writer and the internet would pillor it perhaps. I wouldnt, I would like the show to continue another two years because it is my favorite and only network show I enjoy every week.
