I feel so bad for her. :( Tried to help someone out and ended up accidentally giving the forgotten credit card to someone who was NOT the credit card owner and Good Samaritan ended up interrogated, fired from her job, arrested, jailed, etc!:mad: At least the Judge saw how messed up what happened to her was and dismissed the case against her and called out Law Enforcement for ruining an innocent wonman's life whop was just trying to be a Good Samaritan! Funny thing, is, and not funny as in haha, but funny as in messed up thing is that the woman who actually committed credit card theft by going on huge shopping spree with the stolen credit card got off scot free!:mad:

And the reason we read of more and more and more, is due to the smartphones and everyone who wants to take pictures and puts it all out there. It certainly is a world that I did not grow up in.

I don't think the woman in the Pink pants who went on the shopping spree with the stolen credit card will be scot free for long with this video that went viral of her. Reminds me of the Starbucks credit card theft that went viral where a Starbucks Barista took a picture of her Customer's bank card and went on a grocery shopping spree for $212 and the Customer went right back the next day and confronted the Starbucks Barista for stealing $212, but in that case, the Customer had gotten an alert on her phone informing her that she'd spent $212 at a grocery store and she put two and two together and realized the Barista robbed her. She confronted her and the Barista admitted it, apologized and claimed she was a good girl who was 19, in school, and played soccer! :lol::crazy:(The soccer part as a defense caused a lot of comments and still does to this very second.

Trust me, the Woman in the Pink pants who knowingly accepted a credit card that she knew wasn't hers and went on a huge shopping spree with it is most likely going to get caught now that this is viral.

The Good Samaritan should have either left the card alone, gave it to employee or manager, verify that the person she was giving the card to at least had the same name as the credit card (This could be tricky as quite a lot of people have the same first and last name, and two people named Kevin Smith could be shopping around the same time.

Props to the judge. This woman was insanely mistreated.

I found a credit card in the entrance of my local Kroger store a couple of years ago, so I turned it in to their Customer Service right away for the "Lost & Found." I'd worked many years in retail, so maybe that helped me know instinctively what to do with it.

I guess what made her look bad was saying she gave it to the Clerk when she actually accidentally gave it to the wrong person who stole it and went on a huge shopping spree. But like the video said, she was under a lot of stress and misremembered what happened and was thinking how she usually would have done with a forgotten credit card.

On my local radio station, a Woman said she found a wallet in a parking lot filled with cash and credit cards and ID's. Her first thought was,"I could just put this wallet in my purse and have a blast with the cash!" Her second thought was,"No, do the right thing and turn in the entire wallet. This money could be someone's rent money or something like that!" She turned it into the local police station to do the right thing, and instead of thanking her for her honesty, morals, ethics, and integrity, the Police interrogated her like she was a criminal! Oh no!:rolleyes::eek::(:mad: One of the Radio Hosts asked her something like,"Do you feel you should have just kept the cash and left the wallet in the parking lot since you got interrogated by Police when you were doing the right thing instead of thanked? "She was unsure. The other Radio Host said something like,"I would have felt that way!:lol:

In another example of Good Samaritan gets into trouble, a guy said something like,"I saw some guy beating up his girlfriend on the streets. I find men abusing women disgusting and wanted to help her out, so, I beat him up instead to protect her. She cussed me out for beating up her Boyfriend and called Police on ME! Police came and I was handcuffed and arrested for Assaulting her boyfriend. I spent the night in jail and was released the next day. I now have an arrest on my previously clean record all because I tried to help some random Woman I didn't even know and she wasn't even thankful I was trying to protect her and she called Police on ME and had me arrested. I'm definitely going to have second thoughts about helping random strangers. "

Then they suggested I go find an envelope, until I told them I didn't feel like buying a stamp, then they suggested that I go to the person's house and put them in their mailbox, I told them that I felt that I had already done enough, and it was their turn to get involved.

It was like pulling teeth, but I finally talked them into taking custody of the cards.

The very next weekend I saw that picture from the drivers license in our newspaper, outstanding felony warrants section. And 3 days later that he had been taken into custody.

So, it's questionable who I was more of a samaritan to, the guy who lost his cards, or the cops who arrested him, or even the victims of the original crime the guy was wanted for.

It's hard to know at the last part of your quote. Kind of reminds me of a Woman who said she was shopping at a grocery store with her child and the Cashier happened to be an ex Coworker she and the ex Coworker were chatting, catching up, and the Cashier forgot to ring up a package of napkins. The Woman forgot to tell her to ring it up too. The Woman and Child left. A couple of minutes later, the Woman realized she never paid for the napkins. She said,"I wanted to teach my child a lesson about honesty, so we went back to the grocery store and I paid for the napkins. " They both left again and went to the bus stop. About 5 minutes later, the ex Coworker ran to them at the bus stop and told her she'd just got fired because her Boss thought she was giving her Friends free stuff! :eek: It was an honest mistake, they just both forgot about the napkins because they were chatting, and the Woman paid when she realized the napkins weren't paid for. The Woman said something like," I wanted to teach my child a lesson about honesty. Not sure what lesson my child learned that day after the Cashier got fired after I went back and paid." Ouch.:confused: The lesson the child most likely learned was,"Don't go back and pay!" :eek: Not a good lesson at all. The lesson he or she should have learned though is,"Don't talk so much and make sure everything is paid for the first time."

She was then fired because management said she was "shopping while on the clock." I have nothing but contempt for many managers, who make the most money and then axe an honest low-paid worker over a simple mistake.

So many many homeless are worthless to themselves and society and refuse to helped and rehabed. It's only been going on here in CA since the late 70's early 80's......

A Restaurant owner who gave free coffee to homeless People ended up having her good deed punished when homeless Person threw hot coffee in her face! :mad::eek:

That right there was an honest mistake and they threw her out, a hard working Employee like yesterday's trash over an honest mistake like that? :mad::rolleyes::confused::eek:

I mean, one of Kelly Cutthrone's Employees made a multi Million dollar mistake in Accounting and she came up to Kelly on her own before Kelly even noticed the mistake and Kelly admired that she was honest on her own and didn't fire her, and a hard working Employee gets arrested for accidentally shopping on the clock? :eek: :mad:

The homeless where I am have gotten mroe and more dnagerous. The drugs they buy on the streets make them more insane.

The ones who want helped, get it. This state throws millions of dollars at this mess.

I saw a Law And Order Episode where a Good Samaritan called the police on a Boyfriend who was abusing his Girlfriend. Cops came just in time to see Boyfriend Murder his girlfriend by stabbing her in the chest and she died just seconds later. He was arrested. Cops ran records on Good Samaritan and they found out she had outstanding warrants and a record and they arrested her too! :eek: I could see this happening in real life! :eek: Good Samaritan trying to help ends up arrested for having outstanding warrants isn't far fetched at all! :eek:

About the Cashier who got fired for supposedly giving her Friends free stuff, I think the Boss should have known that was a pure mistake as the Customer came back and paid for the napkins because someone who truly got free stuff from a Cashier wouldn't have come back and paid. Mistakes happen. I had a problem with my register and the Customer I rang up snatched the $100 out of my hands and put it under her wallet without me even noticing. :eek: She stole the roughly $5 drink, the roughly $95 I gave her in change! :mad: The next day, my Boss told me that Woman robbed me out of roughly $100! :mad: He showed me the camera and I was shocked how quickly and stealthily she stole the $100 right out of my hand! :eek: :mad: She could have gotten me fired for something I didn't even know happened! :mad: Luckily my Manager understood she stole her $100 back without me even noticing and then I gave her roughly $95 in change! :mad: So, she made off with roughly $95 profit and a free drink! :mad:
