A lot of baseball games prove forgettable to begin with.

It's a tough task to keep the game traditional, and in keeping with decades-old recordkeeping, yet trying to have it appeal to modern-day fans. It's almost as if the weight of history is now too much to bear, but significant modernization would be strongly opposed by traditionalists and others.

The biggest drain on the appeal of baseball, IMO, is the time-suck of all the commercials, and trying to put a band-aid on that with pitch clocks, and 3 batter minimums on pitchers, really runs contrary to the fabric of the game.

Baseball has NEVER appealed to the ADHD set. Fans requiring constant action to remain engaged have basketball, football, and hockey,

Trying to turn baseball into something it's not, really should not be mistaken as "progress".
