Actually, Isabel Sanford did appear on All in the Family after The Jeffersons started, it was the episode The Family Next Door and it aired on March 11, 1979. Sherman Hemsley also appeared on All in the Family after The Jeffersons started in the episode, Mike's New Job and that aired on March 5, 1978. Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton did appear on The Jeffersons but only in flashbacks in the 3-parter George and Louise in a Bind which aired on February 25, 1978. Well Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton only being seen in clips is not a GUEST APPEARANCE boechsner 10-20-2002, 08:26 PM Originally posted by SOLOMON Well Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton only being seen in clips is not a GUEST APPEARANCE Actually, some shows do. In the final episode of Leave It to Beaver, they showed a bunch of clips with characters who had made frequent guest stars over the 6 years it was on. In the closing credits, they considered all scenes with those characters as guest stars and gave them credit. Scoobiedoo30 10-25-2002, 01:42 PM No I Am Not Surpised That Carroll O'Connor And Jean Stapleton Did Not Make A Guest Staring Role On The Show Maude Bit I Belive The Women Who Played Jean Stapleton On All In The Family Was Maude Cousin. Aaron Moonlight Lady 11-01-2002, 04:57 PM Yep that's right, Maude and Edith were cousins. Edith was played by Jean Stapleton :) Now that I think of it, I really shouldn't be surprised that Archie and Edith didn't crossover to Maude. Archie and Maude hated each other. Flashbacks are not considered a guest appearance boechsner 12-01-2003, 02:10 AM Originally posted by Sitcom Analyzer Flashbacks are not considered a guest appearance and your purpose for bringing this topic up after a year is.....?? To answer your original question, I personally wasn't surprised, because Maude (the series) could stand on it's own without Archie and Edith, remember the abortion 2-parter created an incredible amount of publicity that got people watching it. Archie and Edith weren't needed. Also, whoever made up the closing credits to the last episode of Leave It to Beaver did indeed include flashback appearances as guest appearances. But why are you making this an issue??? TVFactFan 12-01-2003, 02:22 AM Originally posted by boechsner and your purpose for bringing this topic up after a year is.....??
