This may have been covered before, but what shows were really not that all ground breaking?

That Girl claimed to be ground breaking with a single woman navigating life by herself. Actually Our Miss Brooks probably did that theme better much, much earlier. It was first on radio after all. Then soon after That Girl was The Mary Tyler Moore Show which truly showed the pluses and minuses of a single woman. With That Girl how often was her father pestering her? Plus Ann and Donald had a weird relationship especially since it ran during the sexual revolution.

Will and Grace. They claimed to be ground breaking with lead characters being gay. Yet if you didn't follow the show you would think that Will and Grace were boyfriend and girlfriend or married. Same with Jack and Karen. There was much more sexuallized behaviors with Will and Grace, and more so with Jack and Karen than Will or Jack with their various boyfriends. I'm not sure what show would have been ground breaking for this situation.
