If you can call it that. I never thought that Carmine brought much to the show with the musical numbers he supplied. Garry Marshall seemed to like doing that. (Anson Williams on Happy Days) I mean, were they serious with that aspect of the show? It slowed the show down for me. So why? One thought....for the female viewer. Lenny and Squiggy set few feminine hearts aflutter I am guessing. Carmine enters and serenades the female viewers. Keep them happy. Most guys would prefer the goofy antics of L$S. What's the verdict on Carmine? A gal magnet with a melodeous voice?

Agreed. He had a good voice. But in the early years, all he ever did was sing and brag about his rich girlfriend. He never REALLY had a purpose to the show, really. But again, the show would be incomplete without him.
