These characters were hated by viewers so much (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/TheScrappy/LiveActionTV), they practically killed their TV shows. For this list, we’ll be looking at the most disliked additions to television series who could’ve introduced a fresh new story, but instead had an overall negative impact on the plot. Beware of potential spoilers ahead. Our countdown includes Nellie Bertram from “The Office” (2005-13), Paige McCullers from “Pretty Little Liars” (2010-17), Billie Jenkins from “Charmed” (1998-2006), Cousin Oliver (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CousinOliver) from “The Brady Bunch” (1969-74), and more! Which of these characters do you despise the most?

Here are mine:

1) Caitlin Moore (played by Heather Locklear) - Spin City
Totally insufferable, she destroyed the chemistry of the whole show.
2) Kennedy (played by Iyari Limon) - Buffy The Vampire Slayer
The seventh season was really unwatchable, and Whedon went all-in in despisable choices to hurt his own show. Kennedy was one of the worst of these decisions.
3) Jenny Shaw (played by Julianne Nicholson) - Ally McBeal
The fourth season was perfect, but after the arrest of Robert Downey Jr the best characters dropped the show. The authors try to revitalize it with new entries... but everyone of them failed poorly.

The last two didn't kill the show, but heck...
4) Simon & Gertrude Moon (played by Anthony LaPaglia and Millicent Martin
Frasier is one of my very favorites show, but it has one big, great weakness: while its core characters are all great and wonderful, none of the secondary and recurring characters are even remotely enjoable. The worse of them all are Daphne's brother and sister.
5) Seven (played by Shane Sweet) - Married with Children
At least the show hastily got rid of him.
