Star Trek has been a launching pad for many successful careers in Hollywood - thanks, Star Trek!

Some of the stars that walk the hallowed halls of the Enterprise go on to do great things, while others vanish in various transporter accidents. Of the names featured on this list, there seems to be a bit of a magical spell around the Enterprise-D in particular. The Next Generation, while not the only series mentioned here, does offer the lion's share of chance and choice to its guests.
Two future Bond women, several prolific character actors, activists, heartthrobs, and city managers have been through Trek's prestigious doors. We're not saying that we're bitter or anything like that. Sure, fine cast them. That's grand. See if we care. It's not even that we wanted to be in the show.
Sigh.
In all seriousness, there are some highly talented performers who have either donned spots, latex, or far-too-small uniforms to become a part of the final frontier. As in all things, there are some roles which are bigger than others, some that are bare cameos - but then there are those who made a large and meaningful impact on the franchise. Justice for Lt. Robinson.
