The $2500 was put back into the Savings. Remember, the Evans and Willona talk about the extravagant things they could buy with $2500 and Florida has clarity and is like,"Wait a minute. Why are we talking about buying extravagant things with that money? That money should go into a Savings Account!" The Evans and Willona agreed with Florida. Edna only heard the talk about the extravagant things they could buy with the money, and had left by the time Florida mentioned the Savings Account thing. When Edna and Roz came back to rob them for the $2500, Florida pointed out that money was in a bank account, not in the house. Edna pointed out she knew the money was in the bank and not in the house and made Roz force Florida to make a bank withdrawal at gunpoint. After the robbery(Thelma, Michael and JJ convince Roz that Edna said she was going to cheat Roz out of her cut of the money, Edna says they are lying, but Roz pointed out that Edna did cheat her multiple times for real,and Edna attempts to snatch her cut of the money, and JJ in a clever manuever slaps the money out of Edna's hand, causing Edna to drop the gun and Willona to take Edna's gun and use it to keep Roz and Edna in line. Fans of Good Times ragged and dragged JJ for being goofy, but his clever manuever got the Evans to keep their money.
