In 1989 the movie Batman opened in theaters and due to it's success it sprawned a lot of merchandise and made the film a blockbuster smash. Ralston/Purina introduced Batman Cereal to honor the film and if you were a kid when Batman debuted in 1989 you probably begged your parents to buy you this cereal when it debuted. Despite having the iconic Batman sign on the cereal box the cereal tasted like Cap'n Crunch but the commercial for the cereal was awesome. Batman Cereal left grocery store shelves in 1992 but for Batman fans this cereal and commercial are part of Batman history
