Prior to renaming itself UP there was GMC or Gospel Music Channel as they often referred themselves to avoid confusion with the GMC automaker. Gospel Music Television was a channel not only devoted to gospel and Christian music video shows but aired family friendly TV in a safe matter. Some of the shows GMC offered were reruns of Early Edition I'll Fly Away and Supernanny. Later they would add The American Bible Challenge reruns and original programming as well and had many celebrities as their spokespeople.
