This was an interesting video, too bad though that only one full episode of the 1968 series is known to exist. I would like to see the entire series but it seems that will not be possible.

I saw this brief series when I was a kid when it originally played. I remember it somewhat and I remember it as being funny and enjoyable. The guy who played Dagwood is the only one I remember in my mind. I thought he acted too goofy, even as a kid. I remember the series was in beautiful bright color and that's about it from my memory bank. I don't remember the girl who played Blondie and I sort of remember they had a dog. And yes, I would really like to see this series again. I also don't believe the series doesn't exist anymore, those films are somewhere and the series was in '68, I believe. That means the films aren't that old so they couldn't have deteriorated away already. But if they aren't restored or copied digitally sometime relatively soon it will be too late.

The 1968 series ran on CBS, it could be possible that film masters of the episodes are stored away in the CBS vaults. The 1957 series was released on DVD a few years ago by Classic Flix, maybe they could strike a similar deal for the 1968 series? I have no idea what the chances are but I would indeed welcome a DVD release of the 1968 series if it's possible.
