Honeymooners Reenactment Reviews: “A Tribute To The Honeymooners” & “Suspense”:
Surprise! I have decided to do some Honeymooners reenactment reviews. The first one is from YouTube. It’s called “A Tribute To The Honeymooners” with Michael Walters as Ralph and Linda Valente as Alice. No, I don’t know who they are either.
This video is a longer version than the video listed here.

If you look to the right I think, you can see the Jackie Gleason Show logo from the end credits of the Color Honeymooners.
In the middle of the night, Ralph and Alice are arguing over Ralph's idea. Ralph: "I don't care if I wake up the whole world. Don't you understand? Norton and I sell 2000 of these gadgets for a buck on TV and we get $2,000." Ralph: "$2,000 is big. This is probably the biggest thing that I ever got into." Alice: "That would be your pants." Ha! I'm pretty sure that $2,000 was a lot of money when this episode was made. Ralph gives up. He thinks that Alice doesn't want to be rich. Alice: "Every week since we have been married, I hear one of these hair-brained schemes of yours." Ralph: "How about when I proposed to you?" Ralph regrets that last comment. He said he wants to give Alice a lot of things with the money. Alice says that he doesn't have to because she "got" them already and mentions every one of them and the scheme that helped them "get" it. The schemes that she mentions are: the Uranium field in Central Park (not Asbury Park), no cal-pizza etc. Ralph: "Nobody is 100% Alice." Ralph: "You are. You have been wrong every time." Ha! Ralph is upset. He is going to walk out that door and he mentions that only reason Alice married him is because she fell in love with his uniform.
Alice thinks Ralph gone crazy. Ralph says that she can get all the doctors in the world to examine his head and they will find nothing in there. Ha! Alice says Ralph has gone bonkers. Ralph said he gone bonkers when he met Alice and he is still crazy for her. Awww! They embrace and kiss.
The second one is from Suspense:

Krista Forgues (Slaydon) and Ben Kearney in the Abundant Life Christmas Banquet circa 1985 doing their rendition of the Honeymooners episode entitled, "Suspense".
The sketch opens with Alice and Trixie rehearsing for an upcoming play. In the play, Alice mentions that she is going to kill someone. Trixie thinks that Alice will be great in the play. Alice and Trixie rehearse their lines for the play in the bedroom.
Ralph & Ed come in to laughter and applause and overhear what Alice and Trixie are saying. Ralph thinks that Alice is going to kill him. The girls come out. Alice says she cooked a great dinner for Ralph but Ralph says that he lost his appetite. The girls then go upstairs. Ralph: “She is trying to fatten me up so I can be a bigger target.” Ralph says that he has been a perfect husband. Sure you have Ralph. Alice comes back down. Ed: “See you later Ralph. I hope.”
Ralph talks about what he heard in the bedroom, so Alice assumes he is taking about the play. Alice: "I have been in a mental rut lately and this is something that I always wanted to do." Alice says that her family might come in and see it. Ralph gets upset because he thinks that Alice's family wants him dead. Alice: "My sister may come in from Pittsburgh." Ralph gets upset all the more. Alice: "My mother is all for it." Ralph gets upset more. Alice offers Ralph the pills. Ralph naturally thinks that the pills are poison.
Ralph then tells Alice what he heard Alice say in the bedroom. He says that she is planning to kill him. Alice then decides to play a joke on Ralph saying that the pills are poison but she is going to digest the pills. She does. Ralph is frantic, thinking that Alice is going to die. So, he calls Norton down and tries to help Alice "recover." Ralph says that he loves Alice. Ed comes in and Ralph tells him that Alice needs to "recover." Ed reads the First Aid book. Alice then "recovers" and says she was playing a joke on Ralph. Ralph: "Norton, get out of here. Me and Alice are going to have a fight." Ed leaves.
Ralph: "Alice, for the first time since we have been married, I am going to beat you up." Alice says that he isn't because he loves her. Ralph says: "Well, I mean it." They kiss.
