A 1-day early birthday wish to Ted Danson, born December 29, 1947. Happy 75th to the man who made Sam "Mayday" Maolne a lot more than just a 1-dimensional caricature, (in case I'm not available tomorrow.) I watched Ted and Shelley make TV magic for the 1st time on September 30th, 1982, and 40 years later we've all grown old together. But Sam & Diane, & Cliff & Norm, & Coach & Carla, & Woody & Frasier, & Lilith & Rebecca gave us 11 wonderful seasons of classic sitcom entertainment, unpallelled, influential, but unduplicated. Thank you Ted. the glue who made Cheers a great place to drop by on Thursday nights, to hoist a quick one and see some faces we never have to abandon. Happy 75th Ted and many more!
