The premiere on ABC on Thursday, Sept 11 1975 at 8:30pm after Barney Miller

The show was directed by John Rich from All in the Family

In the first episode, one of the Prisoners complained about watching reruns of Gilligan's Island and one of the other prisoners had to remind him is in prison to be punished

After the first airing, the show ranked 26th out of 65 shows, ranking higher than Mary Tyler Moore-30, Jeffersons-32, Welcome Back Kotter-39, and Happy Days-42.

The show ranked higher after the 2nd airing and ranked 20th right behind Bob Newhart.

The show moved up in the rating after the 3rd episode and ranked 10th above Barney Miller at #11

The show started to slip after the 4th episode and fell to #37

By November of 1975 the show fell to #56

Even though the ratings for the show had slipped by end of November, ABC television decided to renew the show for a full season

The show stayed in the same timeslot during its entire run on ABC

The show could not generate enough viewers and was cancelled with an overall ranking of #53

Vic Tayback from Alice appeared in episode 6. Alice would start a year later
