“Green with Evil, Part II”
Season Premiere of Gopher’s Gateway: Season II
Episode 26 by Sean Sporman

Previously on Gopher’s Gateway:

“We’re picking up something strange on sensors.” Hannah Clements reported from Tactical as Heather, Michelle and Emily returned to their bridge stations.
“I think it’s something decloaking.” Emily Ham noted.
On the viewscreen, a massive green ship decloaked in front of the Enterprise-D.
“Merciful heavens!” Lucy Camden exclaimed.
“We are being hailed by the Romulan vessel.” Hannah stated.
“On screen.” Heather ordered, standing up.
A Romulan commander appeared on the viewscreen. “I’m Commander Sela of the Romulan Star Empire. Surrender or be destroyed.”
“I’m Captain Heather Allgood of the United Federation of Planets. We are on a mission of mercy. Our Captain is missing and we would appreciate your assistance in this matter.”
Sela laughed. “Naïve Federation kiddies. I’m cutting this superfluous transmission.”
“Sean’s on that ship.” Emily reported.
“Prepare to fire.” Heather ordered.
But, before they could fire, two explosions ripped through the ship, throwing everyone to the floor…

And now…the conclusion…

Prologue
Everyone on the Bridge was thrown from their chairs as the ship was thrown at an almost ninety-degree angle by the fierce explosions. Consoles exploded from overload and the lights flickered out, save the emergency lights on the chairs and console supports.
Heather Allgood struggled up as she brushed her hair out of her face. “Damage report.” She said weakly, still injured from the explosion as she walked to her Captain’s chair.
Hannah Clements crawled up to Science II. She gasped and her eyes widened in shock at the data she saw on her console, which had not overloaded. “You had better switch to an external view.”
“Computer,” Heather ordered, now in her chair, “External view number five.”
The view struck like a knife and gasps filled the bridge. Two gaping holes dominated each side of the once proud saucer of the USS Enterprise-D. Plasma trickled from damaged warp nacelles and the ship rolled slightly, no longer under control of the computer’s automatic attitude correction system.
“Emily, do we have any weapons?”
Emily Ham stood at tactical, a cut in her left arm and a hairline fracture in her foot. “No casualties thank goodness, but multiple injuries. As for weapons…we have none now, and we have no shields to speak of either, unless two percent will do for you.”
“We wouldn’t survive one hit.” Heather commented, “Contact the Enterprise-E. Tell them we need emergency repairs. Is the Romulan vessel still out there?”
Emily nodded no.
“OK. Hannah, get to Sick Bay and help the Doctor and Andrea. We’ve got ourselves a big mess to clean up.”
“What about Sean?” asked Hannah.
Heather nodded. “Never fear. We will rescue my honey if it’s the last thing I do…but I have a feeling my Sean is working on an escape plan as we speak…”

Chapter One
The light that hit June Gabert’s double hoop earrings caused a sparkling effect similar to a distant star as seen from space.
“Who is interrogating him now?” June asked, sitting in the throne-like captain’s chair on the bridge of her Romulan Warbird.
“Peyton Feeman.” Replied a Romulan underling.
“That’s Freeman, you dolt!” June snapped back. Then she smiled, nodding. “Soon, Sean will be under our control and then…the world!”

Peyton Freeman finished her smooch with the captured Sean Sporman after he agreed with her on a certain cartoon show. “Good boy.” She said to Sean, as if speaking to a cute pet.
Sean smiled, attempting to get the enemy to see his ways. “I’m not your total opposite.”
“Are you a pessimist?” Peyton inquired, pacing in front of Sean, who was tied to a straight-back chair.
“No, I’m an optimist. Join the side of good once more, Peyton. You don’t have to—uggh!” Peyton kicked the legs of the chair, hurling the chair to the floor and Sean with it.
Peyton frowned and shook her head. “Bad boy. I’m leaving now, maybe you’ll reconsider when I come back.” Peyton picked up her disruptor and left the room.
Sean smiled, stepping up from the chair and resuming his work to sabotage the circuitry that controlled the door-opening mechanism. He had not really been tied to the chair, it had just seemed that way.

“Captain’s Log, USS Enterprise-E, Captain Jean-Luc Picard reporting on Stardate 54314.4, in the future. With the assistance of the USS Sutherland and the USS Hypothetical, we hope to repair the Enterprise-D and stop Commander Sela’s Romulan plot.”

“Captain Shelby, good to see you again.” Captain Picard greeted to Elizabeth Shelby in Transporter Room II. Captain Shelby had come aboard the Enterprise-D, then a budding Lieutenant Commander, during the deadly invasion by the Borg at Wolf 359.
“Greetings, Captain.” Replied Shelby, “Well, if it isn’t Will Riker, still in the second chair, I see.”
Riker chuckled. “I see you got the Sutherland, a good ship.” The three exited the transporter room, “Didn’t you have something to do with the marriage of Worf and Jadzia Dax?”
Shelby only smiled, revealing nothing.
“Are you still involved anti-Borg weaponry R&D?” Picard inquired.
“Yes.” Shelby responded, “Though most of what I have done lately is Anti-Dominion weaponry research.”
The three entered the turbolift, which was heading toward the Bridge.

“Acting Captain’s Log, Stardate 99121.6, Heather Allgood reporting. With abilities unknown, the unidentified Romulan cruiser where Sean continues to be held has destructed two of our self-destruct bottles, crippling the Enterprise-D.”

Guards gasped as klaxons chimed throughout the facility known as Hueytown Juvenile.
“The cells are offline!” One guard said, pulling out his baton.
“Stop the evil students!” The second guard exclaimed as he saw Allen Johnston ran out of his cell, his pinky by his lip while continued his evil laugh. Holly Toidi dived at the guard, but miscalculated his dive and dove into a Styrofoam cooler, knocking him out.
As the guard went after Allen, a recent captive named Alan Starnes hit the guard from behind, and the guard passed out.
Allen only continued his evil laugh.
“Some thanks.” Starnes commented. The second guard followed after Starnes, but the guard was stopped by a phaser blast from Peyton Freeman.
Starnes nodded and smiled at Peyton as he proceeded in his escape.

“I see dumb people.” Sean said calmly in his cell as he watched a small viewscreen, that showed the chaos that was in progress at Hueytown Juvenile.
June Gabert laughed. “Well, my boyfriend has escaped well. Go, Alan Starnes.”
Sean took in a breath and looked up at June in utter shock. “You mean…”
“Yes, you handsome dunce.” June replied, “You may have lots of positive aspects…but you’re not evil!” Sean looked down at the floor, shaking his head.

Courtney Gage played her personal guitar in the Starfleet Audiophonics Hall of Hueytown Academy. She played her guitar with an upbeat oldie from George Harrison, Got my Mind Set on You.
“Very good playing.” She heard a male voice say. She looked up and saw James Spann, famous television weatherman of Alabama walking down the steps, “James Spann, what in blue blazes are you doing here?”
“I was requested by Sean Sporman to be here. He wanted me to see his weather center a week ago today.”
“Well, I’m afraid he’s…um…out sick.” Courtney responded, putting down her guitar, “But I would be glad to give you a tour of the school.”
“Thank you, Ms. Gage.” James Spann replied.
“Tell me, you know that guy who punched you out…”

“There! Did you see that?” Heather Allgood exclaimed to Commander Data, official commander of the Starfleet Proto-Council and also well-trained android of all sciences.
Commander Data, with his android-enhanced senses, saw the momentary blip on the sensor readout on the LCARS panel. They were on the bridge of the Enterprise-E. “It is indeed a sensor echo…most likely when Peyton Freeman beamed down to assist in the breakout at Hueytown Juvenile. Suddenly, Data’s combadge beeped. “Data here.”
“This is Geordi. We are currently monitoring a significant decrease in the electrostatic potential across the power coupling terminals on the secondary electron conduit and I require your assistance in Engineering.”
“Understood.” Data replied, “I’m on my way.”
“I’m going back to Hueytown Academy to see who else we can get in this fight.” Heather said, “Most of the secondaries and tertiaries are off at the moment.”
Data nodded as he entered the turbolift.

“I would be glad to help rescue Sean.” Proclaimed Ashley Salter, a new member of the Hueytown 2000 Project, and cousin of secondary Courtney Gage. She had flowing blonde hair that complimented her beautiful face.
Heather Allgood, girlfriend of Sean Sporman and the recovered nodded. “Do you do well in—“ Jordan was interrupted.
“I hate math!” Ashley exclaimed, “But I like everything else. I enjoy sports too. I saw Sean and some others play in the Hueytown Olympics II Second Heat a few days ago. It looked cool.”
“Sean would probably let you join the competition.” Heather said.
Jordan shook his head. “She’s pretty…I know he will.” Jordan mumbled under his breath.
“We’ll beam you up to the Hypothetical then.” Heather said, “That’s our ship until the repairs on the Enterprise-E are completed.” Heather tapped her combadge, “Allgood to Hypothetical, beam up one.”
Ashley Salter smiled as she dematerialized.
“I wonder how Jonathan and Hannah are doing.” Heather wondered.
“I don’t know.” Jordan commented as the two walked through a corridor of Hueytown Academy, “But why did you put those two together?” Jordan asked.
“Because you know how Jonathan can be a pessimist. And, he still occasionally calls Sean ‘spaceboy’.” Heather replied.
Jordan saw Heather’s expression. “The three starships are doing everything they can, scanning every micrometer of orbital space with the anti-proton beams to search for the cloaked ship.”
Heather nodded. “Yeah, I know. I just miss Sean.” Heather let her smile linger as Jordan did not have a negative reaction.

Hannah Clements walked with Jonathan Reeves on the extensive Playground of Hueytown Academy in search of assistance in finding the captured Sean Sporman.
True to the ambitions of Sean Sporman and Heather Allgood, the Playground competed with Visionland of Bessemer, Alabama. It was close, but right now, HueyPlay, as it was dubbed in the hours not during school, was ahead due to lower prices and a larger variety plus the weather-controllable dome.
They saw many students all across the playground, but they were mainly searching for students that had indeed participated in the Hueytown 2000 Project. First, they saw Andrea Dickinson, who had assisted the Doctor just yesterday. “Hey, Andrea!” Jonathan exclaimed. “We could use your help!”
Andrea smiled, running to meet the two, “What’s up?”
“Have you heard that Sean was captured by June and the Romulans?”
Andrea’s eyes widened. “No, I haven’t. That’s terrible! I’ll get up to help right away!”
Hannah nodded once, tapping her combadge. “Clements to Enterprise, we’ve found a helper.”
The two watched as Andrea dematerialized.
Jonathan smiled and sighed, slumping down in a nearby lounge chair. “Well, that was nice and easy.”
Hannah grabbed Jonathan’s ear. “Get up, lazy! We still have work to do!”

“…And that’s our Rec Room.” Courtney Gage said to James Spann. “Excuse me, I’ll be right back.”
“James Spann nodded as Courtney headed down the corridor. Suddenly, he heard another door open.
He looked and could make out a dark silhouette. Slowly, the figure walked forward into the light. It was Jigglypuff.
“What in pinpoint Doppler?” James Spann exclaimed, not knowing it was indeed a hologram.
The Jigglypuff took out its microphone and began to sing. “Jigglypuff…Jigglypuff…Jiggly…puff…Jiggly!” The holographic Pokemon opened its eyes and when it saw James Spann asleep, it puffed up in anger. “Puuufff!” It took the top off of its microphone it held, revealing a marker…

Chapter Three
Sean Sporman slowly snuck through the green corridors of the Romulan Warbird X’ar. He had escaped from his cell by slowly sabotaging the internal door controls whenever it was possible.
Looking down the next corridor, which turned at a 90-degree angle. Sean saw two Romulan officers walk by. He remained totally still as they passed him.
Sean then ran out into the corridor, a stolen-type one Romulan disruptor in his hand, only to run into Peyton Freeman.
Sean smiled and surrendered the phaser to Peyton. “You know I could never shoot you.”
Peyton smiled broadly and smooched Sean again as she escorted him back to his cell. “Good boy. Now,” Peyton said, opening the cell door, “I’ll give you another smoochie if you give me the command codes for your school’s defense system.”
Sean smiled and shrugged. “Why not? I’ll give you those codes.”
Peyton laughed deviously and smooched Sean again. She dropped her disruptor and communicator.
“I’m sorry,” Sean said, “Let me get that for you.” Sean bent over and pushed Peyton back into the cell. He quickly slapped the door controls, sliding the door shut. He then zapped the controls with his phaser.
Sean smiled. “Heather’s kisses are better.”
Peyton banged on the door. “Five smooches and this is what I get! You jerk! Let me out, you creep!”
Sean shrugged as he activated the romulan communicator. “One to shuttle bay.” Sean dematerialized as Peyton continued to bang on the door.

“I’m detecting an incoming bogey!” Commander Data exclaimed.
“On screen.” Heather Allgood requested.
A Romulan winged shuttle flew toward the Enterprise-E at maximum speed. The Romulan Warbird it had escaped from was still cloaked.
“Red alert!” Picard ordered.
“They are hailing us!” Heather said.
Everyone on the bridge smiled as Sean Sporman appeared on the viewscreen.
“May I come aboard? I’ll tell you the whole story.”
Picard nodded.
Heather’s eyebrow arched as the viewscreen once again showed stars. “Was that lipstick on his cheek?”
Andrea Dickinson giggled. “I can see why you like him…he’s cute and sweet.” Nearby, Courtney Gage gagged.

“No!” June Gabert exclaimed; throwing her can of Coca-Cola against the wall. “How could you let him escape?”
Peyton Freeman, still in her cell and communicating via viewscreen, shook her head.
Allen Johnston walked by, his left pinky to his lips and laughing again.
“Oh, shut up!” June ordered.
Allen paused for a brief moment and then resumed his diabolical laughter.

Chapter Four
Sean Sporman, tired but still smiling, exited the Romulan Shuttle, Boostia.
Heather Allgood ran up and kissed Sean. After the kiss, Sean smiled, “I knew she was.”
Heather gave him a puzzled look for a moment. “I’m so glad you’re safe!”
In the back of the shuttlebay, Courtney Gage faked nausea, reacting to the ‘sweetness’ of the encounter.
“I thought I saw lipstick.” Heather finally said, “How many times did you kiss or get kissed?”
“Six from June Bug…five from Peykee…two from Eppy. Thirteen in all.”
Everyone waited to see what Heather would say. Suddenly, Heather smiled. “You did what you had to do to escape. I fully understand.” In the back of the room, the others fell down in utter disbelief.
Sean smiled at Heather. “I think you kiss the best though.”
Heather chuckled, smiling at her boyfriend, Sean Sporman.

“And then she kissed you, you shook her disruptor and communicator loose and did a love tap to her into the cell.” Ashley Salter continued.
“That’s great. Other boys would have stayed probably.” Andrea commented.
“Too cool,” Hannah agreed, “And he didn’t hurt a soul.”
“Unless Peyton was claustrophobic.” Courtney Gage commented.
Everyone’s combadge chirped. “The repairs to your Galaxy-class starship have been completed. Report to the shuttlebay.”
Everyone stood up to exit. “Andrea, mind if I take a minute of your time?”
Andrea smiled. “No problem, Sean.” Everyone was out of the room. “So, what did you want?”
“I just wanted to say that it’s been a pleasure to have you here at Hueytown Academy. Needless to say, I was shocked when you transferred from Clay-Chalkville, one of Alabama’s best schools.”
“You are right about that, Sean.” Andrea replied, “Except yours is a little better.”
“Thanks.” Sean replied. He looked both right and left. “Let me also say you are very pretty too.”
Andrea smiled. “You’re sweet.”
Sean nodded. “All in a day’s job for this young man.”
“Do athletes ever annoy you?” Andrea asked suddenly.
“Ah,” Sean said, “Athletes, the smart man’s main competition. A couple do annoy me, but before I had so many girls on my side, which was a long time ago, I befriended some of them to take up for me, because I believe violence is not the answer.”
“Cool.” Andrea smiled.
“Now, let’s get the Tourtle.” The two exited the conference room, “I’ve read about this little spaceship. Holds 20, transparitanium windows, and more.”
“One more thing.” Andrea said, and she smooched Sean and then left the room.
Sean smiled broadly. “What girl can resist me? Huh? No answer? That’s what I thought!”

The Tourtle cleared the shuttlebay of the Enterprise-E at one-quarter impulse.
On the bridge of the Tourtle, affectionately dubbed ‘the shell’, Sean Sporman sat in the command chair. Behind him at the two other computer panels, sat Heather Allgood and Andrea Dickinson. The others sat in computer-less chairs.
The bridge of this ship was perfectly circular and where walls would normally be, there were windows, except for the two doors. One Starfleet engineer joked about it being the worst possible place to be kissing his girlfriend.
The ship slowly approached the drydock. Sean stood up in excitement. “The…Sporman.”
“NCC-4746, for your favorite number, 47.” Heather replied, “And your birthday, April the sixth. It’s a Galaxy-refit. Three warp nacelles, plasma-enhanced phaser array, enhanced saucer separation, two captain’s yacht, and much more.”
“Only 19.99 with shipping and handing.” Jordan commented dryly. His joke drew some laughter.
Sean smiled, looking at the incredible starship.
“We are being hailed by the Allgood and the Haclandi.”
Heather smiled as well as Hannah and Andrea, knowing the Haclandi used the first two letters of the first and last names to make a cool-sounding starship name.
“What about the Reeves?” Jordan said in protest.
“Oh, shut up.” Everyone else on the bridge said. Sean smiled broadly.

“We attack now!” Sela proclaimed, pounding her fist in her bowl of Romulan vinerine, splashing the near-tasteless liquid across the room.
“I agree.” June Gabert proclaimed.
“Let’s kick him in the pansy!” Alan Starns said.
“You say such stupid things!” Peyton Freeman said, “But, as much as I dislike his goody-goody ways, he was sweet to us when we were good…and he was a good kisser.”
“Yes,” June sighed, “Much better than Alan—“ She stopped when she realized Alan was glaring at her.
Just then, a Romulan burst into the room. “The Sporman, Allgood and Haclandi are coming online! The Enterprise-E is now at skeleton crew since they are commanding the other two vessels!”
“Then it is decided.” June Gabert said.

Sean Sporman smiled for many reasons as he sat in his Captain’s chair named after him.
“Well, now we wait.” Andrea Dickinson stated. She winked at Sean.
“Yup.” Rachel Waters said from the conn, “Say, are you still going out with Heather, buddy?” Her question intended for Sean went unanswered when the Red Alert klaxons.
“Romulan cruiser decloaking!” Ashley Salter exclaimed.
“They’re powering torpedoes!” Hannah Clements reported.
Heather, now in control of the ship’s engines, smiled as she put the starship into roll, firing phasers as it surged forward through space. All four beams struck the shields of the Romulan Warbird.
“Status of enemy shields?” Sean inquired.
“Down by one-third.” Andrea Dickinson said.
Suddenly, there was a flash and a team of enemies appeared on the Bridge. Sean jumped up instantly, and uppercut Alan Starns, who fell to the floor with a resounding thunk. “I’ve been waiting to do that.” Sean shook his fist and smiled. “I hurt my hand with his face!”
Heather dove forward and rotated her body in mid-air, firing her phaser at a Romulan soldier, stunning him. “I knew that cheerleading and colorguard training would come in handy again!”
Peyton Freeman jumped over a phaser beam fired by Jordan Reeves, and ducked behind tactical. Andrea Dickinson had dove to the floor, and dodged a shot from Peyton. Peyton fired back, but Courtney Gage walked in front of the beam, and was knocked unconscious. Andrea fired again, this time stunning Peyton.
The Bridge was clear of resistance.

A firefight and fistfight and many others occurred in Engineering of the Sporman. Emily Ham led the battle against the invaders. “Don’t let them shoot the warp core! They’ll cause a cataclysmic antimatter-matter explosion!” She fired at Holly Toidi, one of Sean Sporman’s first enemies. He fell down as the beam struck his back.
Emily winced as a folding chair of twentieth-century design flew close to her head and smashed into a computer panel. “Now how did that get in here?” She said to herself.
Two Romulan soldiers approached the warp core, but two phaser beams struck the invading alien officers, and they fell down stunned. Emily looked up to see Amy Rodgers and Tina Adams had fired the lucky shots.
“I got him!” Amy exclaimed.
“Woohoo!” Tina exclaimed, “A ShockCee shot!” The three giggled.

Amy V. Mariner was shocked when she saw a Romulan walking down the corridor. The former Sailor Scout turned Starfleet officer ducked behind a nearby wall, which branched off of the corridor that she had been walking down.
She quietly readied herself and whispered, “Mercury Star Power.” She was now Sailor Mercury, the super-powered schoolgirl. She jumped back into the corridor with confidence.
“What?” The Romulan officer exclaimed, and froze in place.
“Mercury Bubbles Blast!” A stream of bubbles stunned the Romulan, knocking him against the wall. “Well,” she said, transforming back, “I’m the first Sailor Scout to stun an alien from the future. Gotta love it!”

Sean Sporman sat down, but had no time to relax as June Gabert’s form appeared on the bridge.
“It’s really her.” Hannah commented, “Not a hologram.”
Sean stood up; extending his hand in friendship, “Let’s try one last time to stop this madness before it gets out of hand.”
“I have to do one last thing.” June said. She ran to Sean and smooched him one last time. “Now, I have to destroy your ship.”
Sean had a combined expression of confusion, delight and fear as June returned to her ship via transporter. He didn’t even notice everyone looking at him.

“Fire!” June exclaimed, as Allen Johnston walked by again, doing once more his evil laugh. June pulled out her disruptor and stunned him on the spot.
“Firing!” Sela exclaimed.

Sean was brought back to reality when the Sporman was shook by a disruptor blast. “Shields at 67%!” Andrea exclaimed.
“Return fire.” Sean proclaimed, “Hit ‘em with everything we’ve got!”
The Sporman fired six photon torpedoes and six phaser blasts, striking various sections of the enemy ship’s shields. The Sporman then flew toward the Romulan craft, firing its plasma-enhanced Type XII phaser, which devastated the shields of the X’ar.
“Yes!” Heather exclaimed in triumph.
“Continue Type X phaser fire! Throw in the kitchen sink!”

Walls shaking around her, June Gabert slowly watched her master plan falling apart. Sean was gone, kisses and ego and all. Her romulan allies were retreating to the aft section, which separated from the front. Her assault on the Sporman had failed, and her boyfriend and friends were now unconscious.
She sat alone on the Bridge as she heard the aft section separate, with the cloaking device and temporal inverter, which allowed it to return to the future.
“Warning, atmospheric hyper-entry in forty-five mellicanals.” She didn’t even understand Romulan time measurements.

“Captain’s Log, after a long and hard battle, everything has returned to normal around here. The new ships are at 100%, everyone has recovered from the battle and school is coming back, for homecoming week no less. The verdict is in, life totally rules.”

The Emergency Medical Hologram walked into the temporary command center of Hueytown Academy on the last day it would need to be operational. “So, how is everyone?”
“Doing great.” Sean replied.
“Coolola.” Jordan responded.
“Awesome!” Heather said.
“Perfect!” Hannah stated.
“Just cool!” Andrea replied.
“Like I just hit five home runs!” Ashley smiled.
The Doctor laughed, “Sean, I’ve finished reading your crush list.” Sean swallowed a breath, turning his chair around to face the hologram.
Heather knew well of the crush list.
“It’s been revised lately.”
That fact shocked Heather.
“Here are some of the top ones besides Heather: Andrea Dickinson, Hannah Clements, and Ashley Salter.”
Sean smiled, as all the girls in the room looked him…

Is every beauty in the school falling for Sean? Is June plotting to attack once more? Will this be Hueytown’s craziest homecoming yet? An all-new Gopher’s Gateway!
