Hollywood staple Alyssa Milano turned 50-years-old (https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/alyssa-milano-turns-50-selfie-no-filter-213855298.html) on Monday.

And the Who's The Boss? actress took to Instagram to share a note about the milestone. 'This is 50. No filter (https://www.today.com/popculture/tv/alyssa-milano-celebrates-50th-birthday-no-filter-photo-rcna62455). No touching up (https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/alyssa-milano-turns-50-selfie-no-filter-213855298.html). No make up. I will spend this day, the same as every day. I will move a little, love a lot, be of service, and count my blessings.'

The beauty received many well wished, one from her WTB? co-star Tony Danza, another from longtime friend Danica McKellar.

Alyssa also said: 'I'm happy to be here. Right here. Right now. In this time. In my time. In your time.

'There's still so much to look forward to! And you know what? It's even been okay to look back at where I've been, where I came from, how far I've come, who came into my life and who stayed.'

She ended with: 'Thanks for all of your support and Birthday wishes. Let's keep going.'

Milano's pals weighed in. Her Who's The Boss? costar Tony Danza wrote, 'Happy birthday!!!'

SI model Paulina Porizkova wrote, 'Happy birthday beautiful! ❤️.' Danica McKellar added, 'Happy milestone birthday! You look marvelous.'

In June it was reported Amazon is hoping to rekindle the magic that once made Who's The Boss? a bonafide hit sitcom for ABC back in the 1980's and early '90s.

A sequel series that reunites lead actors Danza and Milano, who played the father-daughter duo Tony and Samantha Micelli, has been picked up for development by Amazon Freevee, according to a report from Deadline (https://deadline.com/2022/06/whos-the-boss-sequel-tony-danza-alyssa-milano-freevee-mike-royce-brigitte-munoz-liebowitz-1235053179/).

After premiering in September 1984, the original show went on to have a successful eight season run on ABC, which drew more than 30 million viewers at its peak, before ending with its finale in April 1992.

MIlano helped spread the news of the latest development for the new series on her Instagram page.

'"Who's the Boss" Sequel Lands at Amazon's Freevee,' she announced in the caption of the Instagram post.

Danza, now 71, posted the same screenshot of Deadline's headline and wrote: 'Excited about this! #whostheboss.'

The show will be executive produced by Norman Lear and his Act III Productions partner Brent Miller, along with Dan Farah, Danza and Milano.

It will be written and executive produced by Mike Royce, whose resume includes co-creator/exec producer/co-showrunner for the Netflix reboot of One Day At a Time (2017-2020).

Brooklyn Nine-Nine writer/producer Brigitte Muņoz-Liebowitz will also serve as a co-executive producer.

For the reboot, Danza and Milano will reprise their roles as Tony and Samantha Micelli 30 years after the events of the end of the original series, which was created by Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter.

And like the original, the main focus of the storyline will be on the relationship between the former Major League Baseball player/retired housekeeper and his daughter, only now she's a single mother living in the very same family house from back in the 1980s.

The comedy will explore generational differences, opposing world-views, and parenting styles within the dynamic of a modern family in 2022.

Original cast members Judith Light (Angela Robinson Bower) and Danny Pintauro (Jonathan Bower) expressed their hope to see their characters added into the new series when word of the new show was made public in 2020. But so far there's no official word on whether they will in fact join the cast.

Initially, Danza rejected the idea of rebooting the show back in 2019, citing the death of co-star Katherine Helmond, who played the role of Mona Robinson.

Despite his reluctance, the leading man did express an old long-standing wish for Who's The Boss? to reach some of the younger generation of kids, which apparently helped open the door just enough for him to change his mind and agree to a sequel.

'I wish it was on TV. It would be a good show for kids to see,' Danza said during an appearance on Good Day New York, as reported by Yahoo, adding, 'The other night I was standing in front of the Paley Center on 52nd Street, [and] this woman walks by with these two little kids, and the kid's about 6 years old, he goes to me, "Are you Tony Micelli?" I go, "How the heck do you know that?" His mother says he watches it all the time.'

Just over a year later, in August 2020, Danza had changed his tune on the matter and revealed he had signed-on for the reboot.

'Excited to bring The Micelli family back to television! #WhosTheBoss,' the Brooklyn, New York native tweeted at the time, alongside a throwback promotional shot of himself and Milano.

The actress also shared the news, writing, 'ANNOUNCEMENT I AM SO EXCITED! #WhosTheBoss is coming back!!!' on her Instagram page some 14 months ago.

'I've wanted to share this for so long and now I can! We feel the time is right to tell the story of where these amazing characters are today. Can't wait to share their stories with you. So happy,' she explained, in the caption

During its eight season run, Who's the Boss? was nominated for more than 40 awards, including 10 Primetime Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Award nominations, winning one each.

After entering off-network syndication in September 1989, the show proceeded to reap the awards of success by becoming a syndication staple.

I never realized until now that Alyssa Milano is now, about the same age as Katherine Helmond was when Who's the Boss? first went on the air in 1984. Like if Who's the Boss? debuted in 2026, then Mona would've probably have been born in 1971 (https://www.facebook.com/AlyssaMilano/posts/pfbid022HJ2dTg7QtAEG88e9YuTHDm3afTM1cFWpSbuG89Wah1ypu4hRzcscqpD6PwDKbM2l?__cft__[0]=AZayCSyjF7YwZ9SDcCNldoSmMwpmFylP4APHjjE9NHf_i8k2OBjjTGT_ym-qpAStejrfLjVG0MoZ9OfsUDp27IO1D3tHvudVDLbXoDttsDGhNC2SafNAKqKPzsCYulyZ6ieNi5X819sygMwwLSXiWGUde-x1T3-HGFbTZd8wz7Yl_E0jDCugDrSu1Qk1sjpEcc9QdknszIWbYy6Un1jx3lEEhT2B25sk9Pzh3F1Ip0T3Zw&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R), which is only one year behind Alyssa Milano's actual birthyear.
