On Thanksgiving Night I changed my settings here to make it look like Christmas. It has been. Yesterday it turned to Halloween Settings. I was wondering is there anyway it can stay on Christmas for the Holiday Season?

I love that feature here. If I may make a suggestion please.

Is there anyway to have the Halloween one turn to dark purple and black and have that from September 30th thru October 31st.

A New one for Thanksgiving and have that be orange and brown from November 1st thru Thanksgiving.

Christmas one and have it as red & green that be from Friday after Thanksgiving thru December 26th.

New Years one have it from December 27th thru January 2nd.

A New one for Summer for Friday before Memorial Day thru Sunday before Labor Day have it be yellow ocean green pool blue.

Thank you for any feedback or helpful suggestions.

That's strange. Nothing has been changed. Maybe you switched it by accident?

You can change it to the Christmas theme from the Quick Style Chooser at the very bottom left of the page. The forum skin can also be changed from the User CP - https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/profile.php?do=editoptions

The Christmas theme is only set for Chit Chat, but it's not locked in if people don't want to use it.

We have a few different holiday themes available which can be used at any time of the year. They can only be used where the default theme is used in the main categories. The individual sitcom board themes are still locked in for now, but I'll change it when we get a mobile/responsive theme.

Holiday themes:

New Year's Day
Valentine's Day
St. Patrick's Day
Easter
Halloween
Christmas

Non-holiday themes:

SO Classic Blue (our default blue theme)
Chit Chat - Classic (main Chit Chat theme)
Chit Chat - Politics (red and blue)
Chit Chat - Random Posts (light blue and pink)
vBulletin Default (light blue background instead of white)

The Poltics theme could be used for the Fourth of July.

Maybe I can make a Thanksgiving theme for next year if I can find some graphics and buttons.

I'm glad you like the themes. Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. :santa:

Some may have noticed that some of the individual sitcom (and a few dramas and cartoons/animated series) boards have Christmas related photos on them.

You can view all 83 here:

If anyone has any others, please feel free to post them.

I'd be curious to know where the persistence is "set" for the holiday theme vs the SO Classic Blue

Because yesterday after reading this thread, I changed the theme for chit chat to "SO Classic Blue", and it remained fine for the remainder of my session. But after shutting my computer off last night and then returning this morning...it was back to the Christmas theme.
I have my computer set up to delete any new cookies or settings changes each time it reboots, so I am always greeted with a fresh sys when I reboot

So, it makes me wonder if the theme over ride is set with a cookie...most S.O. settings changes, in my experience, are maintained on the host (which is appreciated)...it just made it seem all the more odd that my theme setting reverted after rebooting

Your style/theme choice is set by cookies if you change it from the bottom of the page. If you set it from the User CP, it should save the setting. You might need to switch it to another theme if it doesn't change automatically the first time.
