I was wondering any of you remember the Hurricane Gil Episode! It is my funniest and favorite episodes of Golden Girls! I have a post on it in the "Most Watched Episodes Of Golden Girls" thread!! I liked when Dorothy finds her sister Gloria and her ex-husband Stan in bed together and she faints, and when Sophia comes in and sees them together and Dorothy passed out,she is overjoyed! Also, when Rose and Blanche had the telethon for the "Save The McKinley Lighthouse" fund, and all of the entertainers didn't show up(except for the one that imitates the crickets), and they were left to do the entertaining, Blanche was handling the phones, and Rose playing the piano and singing "I Never Thought I Left A Hair There"! , Sophia called and pledged $50 if she'd stopped singing and another $50 if Blanche slammed the piano lid on Rose's fingers! When Dorothy found out that Sophia was behind Stan and Gloria being together, she got mad and called Sophia a little stick person!!! Sophia said in some primitive societies they would tend to their elderly no matter what! Dorothy replied that they left their elderly mothers for large birds to feed off of,and where did we draw the line,Sophia said, right after the large bird thing!! Dorothy couldn't take any more of Sophia's attempts of getting Stan and Dorothy back together! That's when Sophia went out in the hurricane and visited her brother Angelo! Back at the TV Station, a bulletin was handed to Rose that said that the McKinley Lighthouse was completely destroyed! Sophia, Stan, Gloria and everybody else went to the TV Station and made up!!!

This was one of my all-time favorite episodes -- Stan gets that fake monkey to get over his feelings for Dorothy!

Dorothy: Stan, please, Gloria's out of M-O-N-E-Y.
Stan: Yeah, well, she's not getting mine!
Dorothy: SHE'S NOT OUT OF 'MONKEY' STAN!!! SHE'S OUT OF MONEY!!!

 Check with Lifetime every chance you get since they show this episode(2-parter) often!!!

Blanche: Listen, we can do all the entertainment if we have to,we can handle anything,it is a civic duty we have to do to protect that windmill! As God is our witness, we have to protect that windmill!
Rose: It's a lighthouse, Blanche!
Blanche: That old eyesore??!!
Rose: That's the one!!!

A hurricane was just the backdrop for a family squabble in this Golden Girls two-parter (http://www.avclub.com/article/hurricane-was-just-backdrop-family-squabble-golden-230758)

You know just yesterday I was reading about this episode on wikipedia. Actually, this episode was a rarity because it crossed over with two other shows, Empty Nest and Nurses about the hurricane. How very innovative.

I remember that Saturday night well. I watched the Golden Girls, which by then was airing at 8 p.m., and I think I watched a little of Empty Nest. Pretty sure I've never seen one second of Nurses.
I always liked the Golden Girls-Empty Nest crossovers. An extra treat for fans, IMO.
