If Wally ever had an awkward phase, I guess it would be now during this third season. You can hear his voice changing, but that's about it. He's in that "I'm still a boy" state where he wants to go smell skunks, but he knows that girls exist and even though he is not actively interested, he will accept an invitation. Still and all, he doesn't get quite as uncomfortable in his skin as Beaver does later when he reaches that awkward phase.

Also, I think the ep on now, where Eddie's girl asks Wally out is the ep where they start to develop Eddie as a character. They give him another side where we can actually feel for him. Especially at the end when he and Beaver talk.

i was always happy when they showed a more human side to eddy. i always appreciated that they let us know in a subtle way that eddie was ok. i also thought it was always humorous that even though eddie acted like the king of the pack, whenever wally got in his face, he would be terrified and back off. they had an interesting relationship. the whole show was full of interesting relationships

I agree that it is quite funny when Eddie backs down from Wally.

I think it's even funnier when Lumpy backs down from Wally, Eddie or anyone. Lumpy is big enough to kick anyone's butt except that he's too chicken.
