Would you pay to own a disease-detecting “precision health” toilet (https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2020/04/smart-toilet-monitors-for-signs-of-disease.html) that can sense multiple signs of illness through automated urine and stool analysis?

It’s a smart toilet. But not the kind that lifts its own lid in preparation for use; this toilet is fitted with technology that can detect a range of disease markers in stool and urine, including those of some cancers, such as colorectal or urologic cancers.

Of course if everyone had a "smart" toilet, there would be no need for the "what is the last thing you ate?" type threads, because we would all already know. ;)

No I would Not. Anything in the Smart world, to me, is Dumb.

What if the toilet made nutritional recommendations based upon it's analysis?
IE: "Grapes seed extract supplement is needed"...that sort of thing? :D

GJ: No way, pathetic that real humans won't use their own brains.

Grape Seed Ex is not a deficiency type supplement.

Considering what they willingly let us put into them, can any toilet really be called smart?

^^^ That was a good one, made me LOL!

Smart Toilet sounds a bit like Martha Stewart's "Pretty Litter" for feline cat toilets.

I seldom go to the doctor, because I hate "well intentioned" bad news. So the thought of having my very own in-house critic, seems unworth whatever the cost might be.

People who can never get too much out of a doctors visit because they enjoy the attention.....well such a toilet might be right up their alley
