That is so cool I love to learn knew things about Freddie.
I can't remember where or who i heard this or read this from but i heard once that Freddie didn't speak at all until he was almost three because of the three different languages being spoken in the home he grew up in. German, Spanish, English.
Has anyone else heard this or was I dreaming it?

I believe that is in his mother's book as well as maybe in a magazine article or two.

I had read this too. I think it was in a magazine article, possibly one that was in an old 16 Magazine...

Considering that (if I am not mistaken) his father was a Hungarian Jew who had lived in Germany, I can imagine that Freddie got at least a passing understanding of German and Hungarian (and maybe Yiddish?)--but but being able to speak them doesn't necessarily follow, of course. I did read an interview in which he said his father spoke Spanish around the house, so I guess the different languages spoken by each person could have been learned by all the others, especially by a child, since they pick up languages more easily. But it seems like in Freddie's case it led to some confusion--don't know if being late talking is a common response to having a lot of language spoken around you or not. I have heard that it is not unusual for very intelligent people, like Albert Einstein. I like to think it means that Freddie was as intelligent as that LOL!
