'That '70s Show' Adds White, Poston

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Betty White and Tom Poston were both on TV in the 1970s, and they will be again this fall.

The pair, who co-starred in the early-'90s series "Bob," have signed on to guest roles in several episodes of "That '70s Show" in the coming season. They'll play the parents of Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

White ("The Golden Girls") and Poston ("Newhart") each had series on CBS during the 1977-78 season -- "The Betty White Show" and "We've Got Each Other," respectively. Neither lasted very long. In addition to "Bob," the duo also appeared together in the 1999 movie "The Story of Us."

"That '70s Show" has made a habit of casting familiar faces from the era it depicts in supporting roles. Tommy Chong has a regular part as photo-store manager Leo, and Marion Ross ("Happy Days") has played Red's (Kurtwood Smith) mother in several episodes.

White and Poston will appear in at least two episodes in the FOX comedy's fifth season, which premieres Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Isn't this cool! I love Betty White, and she will play Kitty's mom perfectly.

That's great! I hope she's in at least 4-5 episodes! (even though it says at least 2 in that article, but that is implying there could be more! :)

This is really cool! I've never watched That 70's Show before but I'll definatly watch some episodes if Betty White is going to be in them.

I watch Malcolm, but I must have missed that episode.

Yes i have to agree with you about Betty White! She is awsome. Here scandanavian dishes are cool and her slow witted humor takes a lot of brain power to understand (or put up with ;-)} I definitely think she would be great at playing the mom!:D

I have 12 episodes of The Betty White Show on tape, and I'm looking for "We're Not Divorced --- parts 1 & 2"... if anyone could help me, I would appreciate it... If anyone would like to trade or buy these 12 episodes of this great show (Betty was terrific, the supporting cast was [blows raspberry...])...

Me too! I absolutely love watching Betty! She is such a funny actress! I'll definitely be tuning in.

I wonder when she will first appear...
