I noticed that "State of Grace" does not yet have its own message board on this website. According to the Parents Television Council the ABC Family Channel has yet to renew the show for another season. (The regular season wraps up on August 19.)

To sign the petition, go to http://www.parentstv.org/actionalert/081402.asp

TV Tome has it listed that one of the actors says the show will be back. Its just a season finale. May I ask what good does an online petition do? Fans tried it to save Popular, Grosse Pointe, Pasadena, over a number of shows and it never works so whats the point?

WRONG! "State of Grace" has been cancelled. The SERIES Finaly will air 8-19-02.

Proof?

ABC Family will not renew its "State of Grace" series for a third season, Variety reports. The two-year-old comedy-drama series will air its two-part finale at 8 p.m. ET on Aug. 19. The series, set in 1960s North Carolina, followed the friendship of two girls from different economic and religious backgrounds and was narrated by "Fargo" star Frances McDormand. It also featured Dinah Manoff ("Empty Nest") and Faye Grant ("V") as the young girls' mothers. The decision to end the series' run is being blamed on its inability to find a significant following. "Despite a run of 39 original episodes, the show was not able to establish a strong enough audience to justify producing a third season," explained Angela Shapiro, president of the Disney-owned network.

Wow, interesting. Never saw that coming. This just shows you how stupid ABC/Disney is.
