Through Modern Family's 11 season run, there have been a fair number of ups and downs. The later seasons started to dip in quality, but the early seasons of Modern Family have some truly incredible episodes. Though this episode in particular represents everything Modern Family got right during it's lengthy run on ABC.

This show wasnt really Modern Family, it was the "1% Family", a family group of entitled millionaires (inclouding the Dumphys. They have a what, a four bedroom house in suburban Los Angeles.) making snarky comments at each other twenty minutes a week. I watched the series for awhile, then to me it got old and I moved on.

"The Middle" should have been called "Modern Family", since it more reflected how most Americans live. "Modern Family" should have been called "The rich Californians".
