It strikes me that if Dana Plato had married Bill Dana, her married name would have been Dana Dana.

That's a pretty deep thought. Bill Dana was 40 years older than Dana Plato, so that might have been a little bit creepy with that much age difference.

If Bo Derek married Derek Jeter, she would be Bo Derek Jeter. :baseball:

I find it hard to imagine Dana Plato's life being more creepy than it actually turned out to be.

I am far from one to judge but Dana Plato really, really ruined her life because of drugs. She made enough money on that show for her to live comfortably the rest of her life. I think she could have gone on to a reasonable TV career (being cast to another series, or being a guest on many different shows), or could have went on to college. She seemed in some ways like an intelligent person, I think someone has to be reasonably intelligent to be a TV actor and having to learn lines and take direction. She just blew absolutely everything.

Living in Las Vegas probably made her bad addiction that much worse. I know, I lived there for almost two years about thirty years ago. Millions of people live there and do fine, but for an alcoholic/addict, it can eat you alive.
