While America had Jody Watley and Paula Abdul as their top singers in dance music the UK had Lisa Stansfield. Lisa Stansfield made her debut as part of a UK group called Blue Zone before striking it rich with her solo debut Affection in 1989/1990 in America that had the popular single All Around The World that made Lisa a household name in America. Lisa Stansfield then pressed her luck with her second album Real Love which was a surprise hit. These days Lisa is focusing on her career in the UK but hopefully we will see her make a comeback to America with a new album.
