I just saw this post from Bob Newhart's Facebook page.
"David Davis passed away a few days ago. He, along with myself and Lorenzo Music, created and developed the Bob Newhart Show. Dave, Lorenzo and I decided to make Bob Hartley a Psychologist versus a Psychiatrist, since Psychiatrists deal with more serious conditions. He was a great guy and he will be greatly missed."
