On my copy of Diana Ross's All The Great Hits album I found the song Last Time I Saw Him and it's such a cute song that Diana sang nice and I also discovered that Dottie West sang that song too as well. Was Diana's version of Last Time I Saw Him released before Dottie West sang it or was it originally a Dottie West song?

Diana recorded it first in 1973 then Dottie in 1974. This was the norm back in the day, a pop star would record a big hit and a country version would be released shortly after. I'm glad you mentioned this one because I've only heard Dottie's version.

I actually found Last Time I Saw Him on my Diana Ross All The Great Hits album and Diana Ross's version is so cute and while I was listening to music I found Dottie West's version and found hers even nicer. I had heard Dottie West's song Country Sunshine and it is also a cool song. But I was surprised that Dottie West could do a Diana Ross cover with ease. I wonder if Dottie would be alive today she could do the theme from the movie Mahogany in a country version as well?
